assuming revenue growth is 0, the PE for this stock is still ard 4!!!.... where to find such stock nowadays?... 0.170 shd be safe enuf....

Do u think the price would go down further than this taking into consideration that the price has not reach below it ever b4?

 

In short the conversion is supposed to raise extra capital for Contel. Advance Opportunities Fund was given the right to subscribe to 10 tranches of notes amounting to a total of $50million expiring in 2011. Advance can then convert the notes to Contel shares at anytime using the average closing price of any 5 consecutive days within the last 30 business days before the conversion date. So far they had already convert 5 tranches which amounts to $25million. Their latest conversion price is at $0.1647. Hope that helps.

The price really looks attractive now. Guess the half-year results will be very good. My concern is whether the conversion of these notes will result in dilution in its EPS.

Also the first 5 tranches took abt 9-12 months to convert. Hopefully the rest of the tranches will be converted soon.

 

 

 

 

 

yah.. the only results you can see is how many shares advance had converted for each tranche/sub tranche.. Conversion seems to be neverending

 

Hi SUNNYTAN,I don't think Contel has the habit of releasing quarterly reports. They only release half year results. Only companies with market cap of $75million and above need to make quarterly report i think.

 

Is there anyone able to advise when will the company announce its Q1 results. I did a search in SGX but couldn't find any announcement. Thought Q1 announcement should be 45 days after the quarter close, which in this case should be by 15 May. It's way over due. What's happening here???

 

Should be bottoming out... Don't see how it can hold at this price for long.

Goodness, running out of ammo soon.. but guess i can still collect some today at 18cts or 18.5cts.

 

That'll be 26mil worth of maiden profits plus their last LCD TV one. With a turnover of 179mil in FY 06, this would easily increase the top by 15% assuming stagnant growth. Moreover, the group is confident of more orders this year from the new customers. That means profit guarantee.. But i suspect current price is being suppressed by Advance...

Contra players for Contel which has limited downside?? Isn't the spread a little too thin for this counter (range 18.5 cts to 19.5cts only)

 

After yesterday announcement look at today price. Lots of Buy Up at 0.19. The next counters to watch will be AddValTech and 8Telecom. I suspect these 3 stocks have plenty of contra players today. They are driving up the share price up and down. Hope by today + 3 due date they will be forced to let go and normal trading resumes :)

ya, me wait for the counter to go up to 23cts and back to 18cts again.. Obviously, some joker is busily offloading it...

 

furnaces: if a company financials are strong and keep on improving year after year the share price will rise up in future. Think long term. Look at Asia Enterprise Holdings. It is a story of good financials year after year and their price slowly moves up. The same goes for LeeMetal, SMB United and so many others. They maybe undervalued presently but consistent financial performance will soon draw serious investors in. My 1 cent point of view :)


 If you are contra or shortist then this stock does not suit your appetite I gotta admit.
