Why other construction stocks are cheong except this BBR ? Affected by low profit margin contracts or worse lose money? Gst, cost of labour and materials etc are going up..... unless BBs come in and push up the price if not don waste your precious time in this stock.

just be ready as the coil is tightening and once released, BBR will lift higher. It has been a laggard for too long, time to play catch up with Yongnam and CSC....

I agree wif ninjeturtle.Wif the construction biz boomin, i tink wil be a win-win situation for the const firms. BBR may not be the main contractor but may hav projects on the sob contracts.. jus my 2 cents worth. I tink it wil go up in time to come..

The construction industry will run up till 2010 with all the mega projects in the pipeline. The euphoria over Yongnam and CSC is mainly due to the IR projects. However, I believe the BBR will be involved in the sub-contracting areas. The high profit margin will be from the 2 property development. The run up will only happen when the Nassim Hill project is launched. I do hope by then the run up will be explosive to play catch up........

BBR has a good chance of benefitting in some ways from our booming construction industry.

Having said that, will it be good to accumulate in advance, instead of rushing in if there's a sudden good news surfacing ?

Everything can be looked at a win-win situation.

An interesting point to ponder .......... can BBR be a good candidate for sub-contractor works then ?

Will there be a possibility for the one that won the contract to sub-contract works to BBR ?

With referral to an earlier post on 21 Apr by tancc79, it seems like BBR is not involved in any IR-related projects. Could this be the reason why BBR never cheong like Yongnam, CSC etc? Vested. For those who think BBR had placed a bid in IR project(s), please kindly refer to the reply from the company on 30th Mar 07 Of course other news may still bring up the price of BBR. http://info.sgx.com/webcorannc.nsf/560dd4b031b97d27482571b20043d38c/ad919d4a7df473f1482572ae004f5581?OpenDocument CLARIFICATION IN RELATION TO THE STRAITS TIMES' ARTICLE ON 28 MARCH 2007 The Board of Directors of BBR Holdings (S) Ltd (the "Company") wishes to clarify in relation to The Strait Times' article of 28 March 2007 headlined "Bullish sentiment on construction boosts market". Paragraphs 6 and 7 of the article stated that "Construction stocks were in play with heavy volume recorded on rumours that soils and piling contracts for the Marina Bay integrated resort will soon be awarded. Buying interest was particularly strong among counters like Yongnam Holdings, CSC Holdings and BBR Holdings, seen as being in the running for the coveted contracts, though the value of the deals is not yet known". The Board wishes to clarify that neither the Company nor any subsidiary within the group has submitted a quote for the piling work as our resources are currently committed on other projects.

BBR still got potential, just that it needs time. $0.20 is not a problem, but will be slow.

I already unload BBR to earn quick $ in other counter.

Slow may be due to the low profit margin of the contracts awarded ? If true then you know what to do....

Maybe to shake off those contra players before making a move. I've been into this for more than 4 months already. But hor...still like that...just need to be patient...

Market cap too huge to move a cent.
