Once I had googled for ebooks and went to www.ebooks.com to look for trading books , thinking that they must be free or very cheap like $1/- or $2/- , but got put off by the prices to download . Price almost close to real books . I thought it was not worthwhile to buy ebooks, might as well buy the hard copies as they are more portable. Didn't realise there were copyright issues with ebooks too.

The problem with ebooks is that one has to print out the whole book oneself.

I'd rather avoid this hassel by simply buying the books for keeps... :)

huh? I didn't know there were legal implications to reading ebooks. Perhaps either singaporegal or ed88ks can enlighten me on this issue. I prefer good clean things.

If the ebooks can be downloaded from some website, then it would be helpful to provide us with the URL?  Of course, if the ebooks are already downloaded then there may be copyright issue.

hey fortunegal, read yr earlier post. don't uncle everyone leh. i know you meant respect but we shud all be treated as equal whether young or old,  newbies or the experienced, smart or not so smart. since you've now establised a sj sharing group perhaps i can send to the group by e-mail some interesting e-books which i've received earlier on the art of stock trading.

HongCaiShen...

"Learning from others' mistakes" is something rather difficult to practise.

It is only useful where wisdom is accepted.

But in the stock market, the urge to make money usually supercedes the need to learn from others' mistakes.

ps. I like your nick... :)

As I said before...

It is good to offer Simonloh a treat of sharksfin (while they're still legal), abalone, and the best goodies money can buy.

Once again, where else can one find someone as good-hearted as Simon?

Dear Simon & Fortunegal,

Thank you for hosting the 24/3 sharing session; a corrective lesson and exercise for most of the attended forumers. We've all learnt from most of our mistakes; and let it be the past mistakes of others, in which we'll be learning, from now on...........

CHEERS!!!
