Ye, right, if you sold at 2.52 without stock in hand earlier, now you can buy back at 2.45 that means you make 0.30 per share. So if you buy 10 lots, you make a profit of 300 !
Short and long are very common in the open market, both can make money if trade correctly (you judgement is very important).
that's entirely possible..may be i shld SHORT the Rights now?!?! hee... :P hmm....cranking up my SHORT engine liao :D

Does it mean we sell the shares without holding in our hand.....................after tat we buy the shares back when the shares price drop?
Example: i sell 10lots at $2.52 (negative -10 lots).......................then i buy back 10lots $2.40(positive 10lots) = 0lots is it
Those this shorting help us to earn $...................what is the disadvangtes and advangtes for doing this

Short means you sell without stock in hand at a price you think it is high now, and thereafter when the price really goes down you buy it back, the difference is the profit you gain. it is a reverse trading of buying long.

Try to use some imagination, no need to have physical stock to talk about everytime.

For me I think high risk to short. If want to short should be done when 2..80 and above, now left only 2.59. Someone had eaten up the meat liao... Let see tml... I look differently, may be a good time to do bottom fishing ! As it has dropped out Bollinger Band's lower boundary and quite far away. It's very similar to STX PO when it dropped by 0.80 to 12.40 out of the boudary I was late to react, and let the big fish swam away, next day it surged back to 13.00 ++
