syndicate in control or BB you may call them.

Likely they are midas. let the counter stagnate - choose the time to push up.

In the mean time retail investor restless - sell - they and gang pick.

When they push up - they hold most of the share - retain invest jump in average up - they sell - average up price too. Finish selling wait  for counter to stagnate  and drift down  then buy again at low.

Same old game  2 years -  3  years cycle.

Hold lah!

Not need to wait & see to have any new contracts  as the present contracts MIDAS  awarded are good  enough  with good results as so call super company condition but not moving!

Anybody know why ???

Who are controlling behind or market problem ???

Maybe we need to wait for the contracts take off or projects completion than consider good enough to make the price up !!!

Since this morning price of 0.49...it has gather and back aro .50/505.....a daily event aro this range...

haha...demand and supply? Luckily those who own this stock and loan out are minority I think..( excluding boss ) and even if there are loan out ...an if prices goes north...interest plus panick to cover back.

Just wait and see if Midas is going to have any new contracts...the catalyst many are awaiting....patience is the name of the game here. :)

There is a limit of How much they can sell off but there is no limit on how much they want to buy in.

That is the wonder about stock market.

As long as there is enough investor to buy and keep and when most of the shares were wipe off then whoever it is can only buy up and can not sell down (short also must buy back one day)

Only the solidarity of investor and the strong fundamentals and future prospect of the company count in the long run.

There is also some investor who keep stock but lend it over to bank to lend to short sellers to sell it down. Funny doesnt it? Lend to others to sell down your long term investment stock.

Worst is like Swiber Boss who lend his shares to bank for some interest gain for others to short his company.

Ha Ha Ha H

Midas Holdings: 3Q13 results exceeded expectations Summary: Midas Holdings? 3Q13 results exceeded our expectations, with revenue jumping 48.5% YoY to CNY301.0m, or 15.8% above our forecast. While gross margin of 20.8% (-10.7 ppt YoY) disappointed, bottomline reversed from a CNY6.1m net loss in 3Q12 to a PATMI of CNY16.4m and beat our projection of CNY13.3m. This was attributed largely to a share of profit of CNY10.9m from its 32.5%-owned associated company Nanjing SR Puzhen Rail Transport (NPRT) as more train cars were delivered, versus a share of loss of CNY7.0m in 3Q12. For 9M13, revenue and PATMI increased by 20.6% and 145.6% to CNY787.5m and CNY26.4m, respectively. Regarding its financial position, Midas? net gearing rose from 42.1% as at end Jun 2013 to 49.0% as at 30 Sep 2013 due to larger borrowings to finance the purchase of PPE for its new Aluminium Alloy Plates and Sheets business. We will provide more details after speaking with management. We maintain our BUY rating but our fair value estimate of S$0.65 is under review. (Wong Teck Ching Andy)

CIMB TP : 0.74 outperform

Looking better

Midas?s 3Q13net profittopped our expectations by a mile on the back of robust sales and the strong contribution from Midas?sassociate, NPRT. Things are also looking brighter for its balance sheet, with inventory days and receivable days falling to one-year lows.

Midas?s 9M13 net profit was above our expectation, at 80% of our FY13 forecast. We raise FY13 EPS by 45% as we expect stronger earnings growth in 4Q13 from the recognition of new HSR contracts. However, we cut FY14-15 EPS by 4-6% for higher finance costs. Maintain Outperform and target price of $0.74, based on 1.29x CY14 P/BV (20% discount to average P/BV during 2010-11). New HSR contract wins is the key catalyst.

3Q highlights

Midas?s 3Q revenue grew 6.0% qoq, while net profit increased 12.4% qoq. Gross margin compressed to 20.8% (2Q: 22.5%) due to: 1) the lower-margin products taken on to increase capacity utilisation, and 2) the rise in per unit production cost. However, 3Q net margin rose to 5.5% (2Q: 5.2%) due to the strong Rmb10.9m associates? contribution from NPRT. We believe margins will trend up in 4Q when Midas recognises its first HSR contract since FY11. Net gearing rose to 47.2% in 3Q (2Q: 40.2%) as Midas took on long-term debt to fund working capital and capex for the new cold rolling plant.

Worst is over

Midas?s inventory days and receivable days improved for the second consecutive quarter in 3Q, falling to 209 and 376 days, respectively. Trade receivables fell by Rmb23.9m qoq ? the first fall in seven quarters ? suggesting that Midas is receiving payments withheld for old contracts. We believe the worst is over, and Midas is on track to achieve its inventory days target of 120-150 days.

New contracts in 1Q14

The China Railway Corporation (CRC) recently announced open tenders for 258 high-speed train sets (78 sets for 250km/h, 180 sets for 350km/h). This is below our initial expectation of 314 train sets but we believe that the remaining 56 sets will be granted via a closed tender to either CSR or CNR. We estimate that Midas will win Rmb545m of HSR orders in this procurement round, based on its historical record of 90% CNR order wins (Figure 8). The orders are likely to materialise in 1Q14.
