I had the experience before, after checking with Poems staff that they said by computer programme, the money was deducted. In fact, the money is still there. After the settlement day, all money would return as normal.

One way to verify your actual balance is MMF unit price x No. of MMF unit you have, it will give you the answer.

Yes, I have just started to keep records of my trades manually. Also just started to key them in excel spreadsheet... Any other comments or advice to offer :)

It must be the settlement dept put it the way contrary to your intention. I guess you want the 200 lots to be deducted from your CDP 700 lots holdings and you make payment for the 1000 lots, right? The settlement dept was wrong about your intention, clarify with them should do.

Do you keep records of your stock market earnings?

If you treat your stock trading as a business,
you should keep all the related papers...  

 

My trades are via GIRO.  I dont usually check my bank statement whether payments are made/deducted correctly etc.  I assumed that they should be correct.  However, based on forumers'experience here, I better start checking already.  Usually I also throw away the CDP confirmation when I receive it.  Now I better keep it for some time better discarding them....

Relax...

1. Ensure that you have keyed in your orders correctly and are actually holding those stocks by:

a.  Check your holdings with CDP internet.... OR

b. Go through your POEMS email alert and look for those stocks order confirmation..... OR

c. Collect all those contract statements from CDP.

If any of the above confirms your holdings, then you show them to your broker and close the case.

Call your trade rep, the information on POEMS account management sometimes can be unreliable at times.  I bought small lots of Jasper and sell it at contra.  Instead of off setting this contra against the original buy order, POEMS online now shows my purchase is still there and deduct the same amount of lots from my other 300 lots (SRS purchase).  I'm calling my rep tomorrow.

I prefer to use cash flow to derive how much a business is worth and also tells how the business is managing its finances. Because earnings can be manipulated by accounts. Sorry for the mistake, I did a recalculation. With cash flow, 0.12 is derived as stock price currently worth. I am not sure how a PE of 152.17 is derived with price of 0.04. My PE turns out to be 35.10 (at a presume price of 0.04). PE = current share price / EPS.

In my opinion, even if a stock is over-valued, people still buy, cos they are taking a short ride only. I am not saying that Jasper is a magnificent company, the figures derived are from Jasper's historic results itself. Lets just say that Jasper is not yet "5 stars" when it comes to announcing some new lucrative business plans, flourishing sales, excellent cash flow management and great leadership. Go along with the game to see if you have made the right decision to invest.

For now, I'm watching the business like everybody else here and make some money out of this to increase my investment capital. My strategy, like cheongwee, is to sell half to make some gains and another half to wait and see. I am still figuring another method of deriving the stock value. If lower will let you know or anyone can share please do.

Did you keep all your contract notes from SGX and also the statement from SGX? Try logging into your CDP account to check. POEMS will usually use the disclaimer that their acct management system is just a guide and not the proper indication of your holdings. I never encounter b4 so I cannot really help.

 

Can anyone help me? I am so confused over what is happening. Here is the story:

Last Thursday, I bought 1 million Jasper at 3.5 cents. Previously, I was holding 700,000 Jasper for the past 2 months. On Monday, I slod 200,000 Jasper and today my broker tells me I have outstanding contra loss to pay for Jasper. Went to Acc. Mgt on POEMS and saw contracts due with Jasper inside. But no quantity or price was stated, but I saw DR so I knew I had to pay. But the worse part was the contract date was on tuesday, which I did not make any trade, and the date due was also not there. Should I pay or try to fight this case?

Why are you so confident on this counter. The Price Earning based on 0.04 is 152.17. Don't you think it is already consider overpriced?

 

Base on a calculation I made base on Jasper's record of cash flow from operating activities and its outstanding shares,  it looks like it is worth up to 16 cents.  10 cents may be possible after all.

sometimes myself also confuse...look at the trading pattern...look like they are not going to push any time soon...but they keep acc..trace back their record of acc...if there is a push this one will go the moon..i make a wild guess..1st push 4.5c next 6c...then if no economic shock..may play to u guy px of 10c...at this px the coy is really really really overbought..will sedll half at 4,5..then wait and see...good luck guy...keep buying ay 3 to 3.5c is safe...

 

Bearie, all I can say is tat this company is fundamentally sound and with the recent property boom, the only way is UP...
