don't put too much hope on buyout, b'cos Cheng Wai Keung (Chairman) is worth ~US$305m vs Wing Tai's mkt cap of ~S$1Billion. Compare to Allgreen & MCL Land, their owners are much richer. Allgreen's Robert Kuok is worth ~US$12.5Billion.
But at current px $1.08 vs NAV of $2.49 + high div - it is really good value.

Wing Tai is now trading at a PE of 2.8. Thats very cheap for a blue chip stock!
can no tahan...the price keep drop ...any one know why?
Probably short sellers on this stock
Bear Raid on the stock?
This crissi would not have much of an impact on wing tai because most of their developments are alrdy more than 70% sold!
I want to buy Wing Tai. A descent company will long tracked history. But now a day global economy is so messy. I am looking for further discount to the uncertain future. Not the company but the uncertain ahead e.g. Italy, Francis, Big US banks insure $3T European debt.....
Wing Tai now has a huge cash hoard of 700million. The cash hoard is gonna snowball to 1billion soon in the months ahead
today last day expired cum dividend 7 cent and imediately drop 7 cent....meaningless for giving dividend....
isnt the last day of cum dividend today (since 15 nov is Ex-Div Day)?
The Ex-Dividends for First & Final of S$0.03 and Special Dividends of S$0.04 is on 17 Nov 2011. It means that you must buy it before 17 Nov 2011, i.e. on 16 Nov 2011 or earlier to get the dividends payable on 30 Nov 2011.  The P/E ratio is only 3.  This is equivalent to 5.5% returns immediately payable on 30 Nov 2011.  And the opportunity to rise to S$2.20.  Note that its NAV is S$2.54...
wow.. 0.03 per ordinary share and 0.04 special .. wonder shares will shoot up anot
any news on the CD? seems quiet though.
market seems bull cheong and wish wing tai price cheong to $2.2 as well...cheer
DMG Research on Friday maintained a buy call on Wing Tai Holdings with a target price of S$1.98.
'While we are negative on residential prices in the medium term, we believe developers' stock prices
including Wing Tai have more than factored in possible concerns in the physical property market,
' said DMG analysts.
Wing Tai posted a 281 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit to S$25.1 million for the first quarter
  ended Sept 30, 2011.
Analysts said that Wing Tai is not expected to hurry its sales of luxury projects as landbank
replenishment in this segment is likely to be challenging, suggesting that the group's holding
power for its high-end projects amidst current headwinds which should allay concerns over downside risks regarding pricing weakness.
