OO123123...

Sorry to be blunt, but I think you have not been serious about my posts so far.

I can only say that if you have to ask other people what you should do, then you are not ready to trade.

Wish you the best.... Smiley

Small-cap portfolio advances 2.9%

By TEH HOOI LING

SMALL-CAP stocks have outpaced big caps on a weekly basis for the first time since the second week of January.

In the five trading sessions to yesterday, our small-cap portfolio advanced 2.9 per cent, versus a 0.6 per cent gain by the blue chip Straits Times Index (STI).

Among our stocks, gainers overwhelmed losers 20 to two, with five counters unchanged.

The top gainers in percentage terms were Li Heng, Rotary Engineering and Best World. Each put on between 9 and 10 per cent.

In terms of contribution to our portfolio's overall gain, Midas, Yongnam, Epure and Fortune Reit pulled their weight.

Due to their bigger weighting, they contributed more in dollar terms to the rise in our portfolio, despite chalking up slightly lower percentage gains.

The two stocks that declined were Bonvests and Straits Asia. The former slid 1.1 per cent and the latter 1.9 per cent.

Overall, market sentiment improved after signs emerged that Europe may be nearing a deal to ease Greece's debt crisis.

The current reporting season has also given investors reason to cheer.

'Confidence is high, as most of the company results are good and some are even better than expected, with a number of them having declared very good dividends,' Reuters quoted a Singapore-based analyst as saying.

It can be a joy too...

Especially when one comes across a stock that has a beautiful pattern which is 'ripe for the picking'. Smiley

sweat hor.. study all the charts.

Anyway, money and assets are still in the markets, it always in circulation except  changing hands... eg. AIA will change hand to Prudential.. Prudential will issue rights issue and take shareholders' money ,  pay to US Fed for the loan, in turn, Prudential now takes AIA market shares and profit and carry on..

so M&A will boost market cos' financially stronger  players take over the business and boost confidence in market with stronger earnings..

Be very selective in stock picks...

There is bound to be a some stocks that show promise even in the midst of bad times.

Thus, diligence is called for in the form of industrious study of all the charts in the SGX fold to identify such stocks.

There is no short cut... Smiley

I don't why so many people interested in this stock but personally for me..Today's candlestick was "black candlestick" ...if I would buy.. it will be still a "WAIT" signal for me as per my post on 01 Mar 2010.. Let's see a clearer signal before any rebounds would be a good direction to lock in a stock. SOBAYOR, star-trader

As for any stock on the downtrend, always short on the rebound...

In this way, more juice is derived... Smiley

Shorting @.90 would be nice and relatively safe, if one is able to enter... Smiley

Today there is another huge selling on Genting @ VOL of 0.2B which break the support @ $0.90. The support @ $0.85 might be tested tomorrow and may trigger another round of sell-off if this support breaks. (RSI @ Oversold)

Ppl who wants to short tomorrow need to watch out for the $0.85 level and selling down VOL. Good luck for shorting guys :P

Think in terms of the systemic economic problems of the world economies, and you will see why it is hard to imagine.

This is unlike anything known in the past, where belief in 'economic cycles' is the vogue factor...

This time round, it's different reality... Smiley

I have lost faith in penny stocks and quite a number have disappointed. The "blues" are still somewhere up there despite all the market corrections.
