The famous Taoist saying goes... "the teacher will appear when the student is ready". Looks like you have reach a level now where so many teachers are appearing suddenly to take you as the chosen indoor disciple. Good luck and a Happy and Prosperous New Year... Gong Xie Fa Cai, Wan Shi RuYi.
Btw, forex looks very juicy after the initiation by Casher. My fingers are getting itchy and may join in soon... :))
And for those who somehow or other have lost money, why not
make it your resolution of the new year to get hold of the :-
"Genie Stock Market Tutorials" (click to see)...
It will not only see you through the year 2008...
but all the years you decide to be still in the stock market!
And with this priceless manual of wisdom and technique...

Especially my dear dear sifu, Ten4One and my great friends BaserAhmed, HarryP, ...

Lausk, this is an amateur effort to mimic what you did, I know it is nowhere near your standard. Typed it in the spurs of the moment for the fun of it. I dedicate this to all here in the fellowship especially Lausk22 for his other inspiring poems all through 2007.
And to others whom I've spoken to and /or learnt from during the course of the year: Chinkiasu, Shplayer, Singaporegal, Asterisk (for the special mention re: MIA and inspiration word "Busy", Bunbun, Slimsk, Cashiertan, Elf, Livermore, Ray, Zhuge Liang, YongJiu (MIA too), Fairygal, Fortunegal, Choohian etc etc? (sorry if I missed out anyone)
Here?s sincere new year greeting from Eastonbay to all fellow SJ forumers, wishing one and all ?be healthy and wealthy in the year 2008!!!

Happy New Year!

Asterisk * Agree with you that I've been MIA, not just in SJ, in paying attention to the market as well. And right, I was busy. Hmm, this word ?busy? provided inspiration?
Busy, busy, busy
An excuse that is very easy
Perhaps turbulence in the market made me dizzy
Was not ?zhai? enough to be steady
However, from it I learnt not be greedy
As Mr Oei said it aptly "???????? jian4 hao3 jiu4 shou1"
Lock in profit when you?ve made amply
Keep $$ in your pocket safely!
2007 started neatly
with STI cheonging like crazy
By end February it took a breather well-deservedly
Many people said ?End of Bull? wisely/unwisely (your choice)
Never did they know the picture was still rosy
The ½ month break follows by another cheong never seen in STI history
In a quarter it gained 400pts handsomely
Came August, the sky once again was falling (Chicken Little: ?The sky is falling!?)
Giving back most of the gain heartbreakingly
Investors grew increasingly weary
Crying ?The sky is REALLY falling!?
Entered the knight QDII forcefully, propelling STI to all time high convincingly
Investors piled in again to join the frenzy
Only to find out it is rather short-lived sadly
They started asking ?What has US subprime woes got to do with us?? innocently
The market retreated fiercely
Wiping out handsome profit heartlessly
Since then STI has been drifting aimlessly
Only to recover on the last trading day slightly
Seems to be telling investor ?Don?t lose your heart, my dearly,
Let?s usher in a new year cheerfully,
Taking 2008 ahead of us optimistically!!!?
Thanks man! You have been very helpful

Hey! Thanks for all the replies on this. You guys are really helpful!
Yah... got mixed up with the airports. Was referring to seletar airports.
How much does it cost to fly to Berjaya Tioman?

Hi tanglinboy.. Big_Apple pointed it out correctly.. Seletar Airbase is possible.. but u need to b a member of the flying club in order to rent the aircraft (unless u own one). Then.. u just need to file flight plan to control tower for approval. The cost is of rental would base on no of hrs or nos of days rented.
I would suggest tat u drive to Senai Airport, rent the Cessna 172 which is the same price as local price but u save alot on exch rate.
Paya Lebah airbase is a military airbase, no commercial flight. Seletar Airbase may be.
Side track a little... I heard that we can now fly to Tioman via a small plane from Paya Lebar airport. Is that true? Anyone knows?
A funny video clip to share... click here to see
BaseerAhmed... :)
Actually, trading forex requires the same fundamental skills as commodity futures trading and other 'high volatility' vehicles, though the apparent 'volatility' is due to the high leverage involved. More importantly, the mental aspects of speculation are much more pronounced in high-leveraged mediums.
Being a different 'commodity' (ie. money), it is influenced by it's own set of factors peculiar to itself. Thus one needs to be familiar with such factors to have a better 'feel' of the market..
So much said, buying and selling 'plain vanilla' stocks is still much safer by comparison , though by no means less risky if one has not understood the underlying dangers...

... and thanks to Titan Dr.Manikamaniko for being a fellow student as a beginner in forex .. !
its very reassuring to know that we beginners are learning along side a seasoned veteran
i am just musing at the fact ... and reassured .. knowing that he is applying/practising bow and arrow archery skills on cross-bow archery ...
it brings a very big smile and lifts up the spirit ... : )
What a wonderful world !
(..sigh...it also hurts very much at the violent demise of Bhutto)
