No problem bro! Anytime you want to join we welcome you. One thing good about our club is that we do not need a member to bring visitor in...Lol. You can come anytime you like to share your experience to us. That will benefit all of us.
Critics & Enemies are hard to avoid. This makes up a forum. It is impossible to have a forum with only nice peoples. I think the best way is not to hit back because once you do so, you will end up spending precious time in word war. Of course, that doesn't mean we can allow them to continue to hit us. At times Critics & Enemies may provide another insight which we can learn from.
In a society, we have Gangster, Rich people and Police. Gangster scared of Police, Police scared of Rich people, Rich people scared of Gangster. This makes up a society.So in a stock market, you will have longist and shortist. The purpose of peoples in the stock market is to make money. It's just that each one use different trading skill to makes money. You can't avoid it. Being shortist requires special trading skill as he will have to see things the opposite way. Just like our Bro ace333, his shorting skill real good. I learn from him " Short to Strength" , " Short at Resistance" and " Short weak stock" . I don't short because I don't have the time to sit there and monitor for a long time. But when I retired in the future, I will certainly learn to short because that's another way of making money.
As for holding for long term, I personally don't favour that. I think people who loss most are those that hold for long term. In my opinion, the returns doesn't mean that the longer we hold, we will make more money. Stocks will move more when peoples see the company's potential to continue growth each year regardless whether they are currently in the red. A company that always makes money with not much growth won't move much. For me, if I were to hold a stock, I will prefer to buy a counter not only with potential, but most important the counter must be the popular one which BBs wants to push up. For some counters, BBs will keep pushing it high maybe within 1 month to a few months. When BBs loss interests in it, then it is time to let go and source for another such counter. You see, by doing that our money will not be locked for a long time. No point keep a stock for 10 years or 20 years. How many 10-20 years do we have. Take for example Singtel. I sold it not long after it was listed at $4.00. How many years have gone and the price is still below $4.00. It's a waste of time. If a big correction occurs, I prefer to sell all my holdings and buy back later.
