How about hourly charge (or per minute charge) up to a maximum of $100per day. So for those who to only "look see look see" then it can be very cheap. They can pay using the cashcard. Haha

Can we propose to our government to be more flexible to have  $50 levy fee (for half day) and  $100 for those who want to be there 24 hours.

CIMB

Genting Singapore Plc
Quick takes - Unveiling its ace - by Soh May Yee
(GENS SP / GENS.SI, TRADING BUY - Maintained, S$0.96 - Tgt. S$1.23, Travel and Leisure)

Maintain Trading Buy on Genting Singapore.

We came away from yesterday's preview tour of a fully-operational Universal Studios Singapore (USS) generally impressed. Although we were slightly disappointed that USS will be opening with one less attraction than the initially intended 19, we like the mix of 18 attractions. Meanwhile, our latest checks confirm that Resorts World Sentosa's gradual operational ramp-up remains on track. We view the opening of USS, arguably the resort's key attraction, positively as it should attract a new wave of visitors.

We are keeping our FY10-12 earnings estimates and sum-of-the-parts target price of S$1.23.

The stock remains a TRADING BUY with key stock catalysts being:

1) a quicker-than-expected ramp up;

2) USS's public debut today; and

3) a longer-than-expected monopoly if its rival opens later.

What Genting needs to open has all already opened. Meaning to say, it can be considered FULLY operational. Another words, it's time for revenue to come in. I foresee Genting will keep shooting up and not fall back to less than .95 in couple weeks.

Cheers!

position so that I can sleep well. Not for mid or long

Genting Sp forecast of US$1 billion (S$1.4 billion)

in revenue from the gaming within a year. The question

is, CAN IT BE ACHIEVED.You will definitely make a

details studies (rope in many many professionals) before you

make forecasts. Give it a thought.

From ST interview Pg A8 of Wed 17 March 2010.

Ronald Tan(Casino Expert) said that he did not forsee Genting or Sands exceeding their forcast of US$1 billion each in revenue fromthe gaming within a yr. This may not cover the sky-high building costs of both IRs, which took place amid construction boom that saw escalating sand and manpower prices. The total bill for both : over $13 billion.

He said "Don't assume for a moment that once you land a casino, you will make money. It's a question of averages. Half the casinos around the world are in the red. Within the next 3 yrs, the other attractions -- theme park and hotels -- will likely not make up for the shortfall." He holds out little hope for Universal Studios, once the novelty wears off after one year. The majority of Universal's attractions are outdoors, which means people have to line under hot sun. Even HK, a temperate country cannot succeed with Disneyland with huge China hinterland. HK's Ocean Park is more successful bcos its initial investment started from a very low base. Our cost of doing business here is now very worrying. The silver lining is for it to be like turf club or Fraser and Ascott brands of Service Apartment with their policies and regulatory aspects. We can become PSA and HDB in Casinos.
