Dear Sir,
QUERY REGARDING TRADING ACTIVITY
The share price of Blumont Group Ltd (Blumont) has risen from $0.30 on 2 January 2013 to $2.45 on 30 September 2013. This is a 8 fold increase over only 9 months since the beginning of January 2013. In the same period, the market capitalization of Blumont has increased from S$508 million to S$6.3 billion. This is a 12.5 fold increase.
Since December 2012, Blumont made announcements on acquisitions and investments in 9 companies, of which only small investments of under A$/US$10 million were made in 6 companies. Of the remaining investments, the highest involved a purchase consideration of up to S$48 million. There was also another investment amounting to about A$8.76 million with a concurrent subscription of convertible bonds. These announcements may not sufficiently explain the steep increase in the price of Blumont shares.
On 29 July 2013, Blumont announced a rights issue at an issue price of $0.05 for each rights share, on the basis of one rights share for every two ordinary shares in the capital of the company. The price of the rights share, which started trading on 26 September 2013, rose from $2.10 to $2.57, surpassing the share price which increased to $2.45.
Is the Company aware of any information not previously announced concerning not only you (the issuer), your subsidiaries or associated companies but any other information which, if known, might explain the steep increase in the share price?
Is the Company aware of any other possible explanation for the trading?
Can you confirm your compliance with the listing rules and, in particular, listing rule 703?
Please respond immediately via SGXNET. Where appropriate, you may want to request a trading halt or a suspension of trading. Please contact Securities Market Control (or, if you need to discuss the matter, your Account Manager in Issuer Regulation) immediately. Thank you for your cooperation.

Why bother..... just  buy....
If Uncle Sam really shut down, 6cents is going to take another 2-3 years. Heart froze as the  minute tick toward 12 and the  parties have yet to reach an agreement....

ipco got new contract why worry? the only worry is do they have money to follow up with the contract.. bank ???? are they willing to invest?? need big investor.... IPCO will goes up matter of time..
The worse case scenario would be:
Shutdown -> Debt ceiling not raised -> Ratings downgrade by S& P/Moody's/Fitch -> Massive sell-offs
Something better would be:
No shutdown -> Debt ceiling raised -> No downgrade -> Markets uptick

US will be a laughing stock if there is a shut down..... even then life will still go on eventually...... guess all have been so irritated by this nonsense.....

Why so worry..... markets will not crash yet.... still got plenty of time to enjoy.... When Edward is selling, it is time to pick up.....
Watch the 12PM Singapore timing then. It's midnight in USA where the shutdown (or not) announcement will come.

Lol, Bigmama is a little worry about the market now. There is a small possibility of a crash ( worst .... a flash crash) ... Not just for IPCO but the whole market. A local brokage house seems to have this view. Hope I am dead wrong. I am queuing to sell starting 3.8.

possible.. he still have yet to finish selling all the excess accumulated shares he bought in july & august.. as mention again, probably wont sell the old shares that he had long been holding, 'cos otherwise, he would have sold it many months ago when ipco hit 3.7cents
