Mkt generally do not welcome right issue. In other
word, the co. need $$$$$ from shareholders. Treating

Ha ha, still holding some, for the coming AGM. Dun want to subscribe too many Rights to be loh. Guesses, news release ds weekend n to Pass it at the AGM on 27 ds mth.
Ha ha, incidentally GAR AGM is in the afternoon. Lunch n dinner settle liao, must bring more plastic bags liao.

your make good points here :) but,
One stone kills 2 birds.......AFter MBS opens, people will come here and visit 2 casinos, instead of one, so, I view MBS' opening as a 'good sign' to have people stay here for the 2 casinos and enjoy the 2 IRs . :)
Why not?? they are both so near and all reacheable by public transport.
For time being until the AGMs and the rights issue, those folks from malaysia come here by bus/car or coaches and not by flights and not en-route from Europe.
Thailand problems will bring HOT money into our market for, thanks to our efficient government and its team to make singapore a 'paradise for investors' becos of its safe and stable political environment. Given the present chaos in Thailand, isnt s'pore a better place for stopping over?
Shanghai Expo is few months long, and are all of us going to be there for those few months long? I will not, definitely ..............hahahah!
As the saying goes, sell in May and go away and couple with the world cup, quiet market is expected (by general consensus ! I dont know if its going to be like that? LOL!), but, as people say, correction is healthy? so lets see whats going to happen on Genting.
As for the GS, Obama is on guard to set rules and regulations, we shall see how is he going to whip out his whip.........

Will this counter's share price go up to 1.23 under this kind of market conditions where:-
1. Competition from MBS from end of April 2010
2. Reduce of tourists to come to South East Asia due to the negative impact from chaos in Bangkok
3. Air flights problem in Europe for coming to Singapore
4. More tourists may choose to travel to Shanghai from following weeks due to the launching of Shanghai Expo
5. The negative emotions of investors caused by implementing tight monetary policy in China, case of Goldman Sachs
6. The potential of high expenses and deficit record show in Genting sp 1Q financial report
7. The rumours and possibility of calling right issues
8. Profit been affected due to the illegal gambling during the world cup competitions period in June 2010
Hope this counter can overcome all these challenges........???????? |

Don't know whether genting sp oso pick the date
& time for the agm. After the agm, maybe shareholders
are given some free chips to gamble in the casino.

Hope it will not be another round of Rights Issue before any big market correction in near term, otherwise, will suffer big big burn! I also have some shares stuck there, sell or hold also cham... Long term investment seems like become very long term...
