What happened to this counter?  Seems to nose-dive quite badly over the past few days.

September low failed to support. October low failed to support. This thing is going straight into the abyss ! More bad news to come...Smiley

.455 is starting to look precariously like giving way... it has been hugged and 'kissed' for some time now...

A healthy rebound would be something like a trampoline act... ie. quick bounce and up...

Quite likely to penetrate and go lower, but not certainly, of course... Smiley

Don't discount some form of 'magic' in the charts...

This is why Technical Analysis is so wonderful (but not referring to MA's)...

Often enough, things do happen as if by 'magic'! (like the last recent big meltdown) ... hehehe...  Smiley

Yes 43.5 cents is a good entry point , but it may go up or go sideway is another scenario , because all the short n long term moving averages are becoming the obstacles ahead , to clear them is also a problem .

.435 is a good betting point for some profits...

But judging by he fall momentum, it looks like it may penetrate the channel after bouncing off .435

The chart chart and the economic (world) prospects is not inspiring at all... Smiley

I  created a small downtrend channel  , 47.5 cents is the lower supporting point at the channel , so by measuring , if breaking this point , it may go down to 43.5 cents .

Hi bintang, thanks again.

Check with you, 47.5 is derived from 50% fibo retracement right ? How did you get the  13.5 cents ? Thanks !

DJ MARKET TALK: DBS Vickers Cuts Raffles Education To Hold
  • 04 November 2009 11:54

  •

0352 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: DBS Vickers downgrades Raffles Education (E6D.SG) to Hold from Buy, citing slower-than-expected sequential earnings improvement in September quarter. Says China-focused education group may take 6-8 quarters to ramp up new schools to break-even levels; "hence, margins will probably not recover substantially in the near term." Notes 55% on-quarter rise in fiscal 1Q10 net profit to S$14.1 million below expectations, due mainly to cut in China's National Education System student enrollment quota, higher operating costs. Cuts target price to S$0.42 from S$0.68, based on 18X P/E, after lowering FY10-11 earnings forecasts by 38% each. Stock off 3.2% at S$0.46. (FKH)

Breaking the support at 47.5 cents , it could reach a short term low at 43.5 cents .

    Bintang      ( Date: 03-Nov-2009 11:55) Posted:

Now is trading at  48 cents ,  to fill the gap at 47.5 cents should not be a problem .

    Bintang      ( Date: 02-Nov-2009 17:58) Posted:

It is very sure to fill the gap at 47.5 cents very soon , after that the trend may go sideway for some times

I mean, one should not be losing a lot of money in the stock market, even if one plays bigly.

It is in not cutting losses that make the losses big.

The reason for not cutting losses is usually having a biased view...

which is a bad view,  no matter what the studied 'fundamentals'...   Smiley

Few days ago release that funny report is clearly a REC managemnet trap loh. Lost so much money must think of ways to recover mah. Or else just count on school fees so easy meh. Even Harvard and Cambridge will be setting up campus in Asia soon. U think REC got a chance in the future? People who buy REC and keep long term must be very daring lor.Smiley

    Why worry about traps?

As long as you don't hold any biased view when in the stock market, you are okay...

You do have the free choice to cut losses anytime before they become big... Smiley

I agree you have a good point...

And, make no mistake about it, it may well drop to that low price (.18), together with other stocks,

In the stock market, never say never... especially in a bear market...

But falls don't take place in a straight line...

it happens by way of a trending pattern... over a period of time...
