Because of Opposition, someone in PAP said will be no GST increase for next 5 years?

So if no opposition to fight for us, GST will go up ~8, 9 or 10%???

When PAP scare, they suddenly know what WE want and needs! Suddenly so caring liao? But everytimes after election suddenly all forgot what they promise liao!

That's the power of opposition to let PAP care for us singaporean! No opposition = Free Rape!

To be fair and square, PAP is good in some way, but we really need opposition to let PAP become more better!

WE need Opposition to let singapore become a more caring nation!!!

PAP Want your $$$ and U must listen to them to take care of U. What they said they just do, they dont ask U!

Opposition Want your heart and they listen to U. They will ask what WE want and then try hard to help us! Singaporean to them always nos 1.

Vote with your heart! Let some Opposition get into parliment to help us voices out what WE need and want can die ah?

Why PAP so scare? U all didnt feel and see PAP now so scare of opposition? Why??? Last min then said will know what we need!!! Puiii!!!

If u r a good caring govt that care for US singaporean, no one will vote agaist U. U only care and want GDP and everything fight to win nos 1 only?

The only way to let PAP improve more to care for us is to let more opposition into parliment!!! Like that also cannot meh? must use threaten strategy meh?

Again I say :Do not forget that having opposition in Parliament is crucial for our government to be accountable to the people. To have a voice for the people. And this voice has been but a whisper thus far due to the lack of opposition strength in Parliament. How much can two, three or four do or say? It's like playing soccer with only a goalkeeper on one side against an 11 men team on the other end(quote, read this analogy somewhere). What miracle can one goalkeeper do?!?!?

Not only WP in Aljunied, some of the good opposition like NSP and SPP also cannot lose.

What I am trying to say is that these are acts of God and beyond our ability to know and control.   If it hits us, and it is not big enough to destroy everything, it is still not the end of things. So likewise Aljunied lost is not whole of PAP lost.   It just makes the debates in parliament more lively and every PAP MPs will be more alert next time and do constructive work for their residents.  MM is just telling the hard truth that PAP could afford a couple of GRCs in opposition hands.   Fighting elections is a serious mater no doubt, but if it has to be lost, try to win back next round if you could.   BG Yeo could still contribute to the country.   We can make use of his expertise on foreign affairs which the oppositions have suggested.
