hopefully their property business is good...but they not only sell books....
Books are expensively overpriced in Singapore.
Singaporeans buy only the text books which they have no choice.
Book businesses are not profitable in Singapore.
Several famous old old book publishers and shops were closed in 2009 / 2010.
hopefully tmr it will become popular after releasing their qtr result this evening....last few days had seen some buying up...
looking at the buying momentum, buying up is slow and steady to prevent any price surge even though market is negative. should see movement once iy gathers enough momentum.good luck to those who's vested
he sold some only. believe he may have sold those which were from rights issue. last qtr co. made profit so no worries about this counter. if u look at the 52weeks low of 9cts, at .16 is still a good entry as compared to other firms which have already jump 2 to 3 times, this one still left untouched. They've also setted up a property firm and with the cash they have now after the rights issue, wont be surprised if they buy another land to develop.
Recently the Ex-Managing director has been selling his share, is this a bad sign?
notice that ppl are slowly accumulating this burger now....might see some actions this mth
wonder when will the rights start? then can buy low
This is so funny....Popular now joins the few that share price starts to drop after an announcement of a rights issue, (2rd if I may add)....
Doesn't look like it's being support or management by BB or insider
Clearly another foray into the property sector.
Popular is one of the few companies that the price did not rise after announcing a rights issue. 2nd in a year.
The fact that it is not underwriten and renounceable is telling......... there will be lots of price pressure. so many shares overhang in the market after the 1st rights issue.
They are obviously raising cash to fund their property development......without having to go to the banks.
In less than a year, another issue of rights???
Want to buy or not?
What did you hear about it?
Dear folks,
Was thinking of buying some Popular shares and hold over a period of time. What are your views on this company? Thanks.
