Temasek may want to divest its Power Stations to City Spring Fund, or set up another similar fund to divest away.

Few years ago, Temasek worked with Morgan Stanley (Undewriter for City Spring) to divest away the Power Station, but the exercise was called off due to the downfall of Enron, and poor market sentiments.

I personally feel that City Spring has potential, worth buying and hold for long term.

Just a gentle reminder, All said CRCT ipo at $1.13 top end, very high. yahh...Not much (quick $$$) to collect back, trust yield return so low and so on...., here no FA/TA to report (extremely new and no history), just capital earn is enough liao, it is worthy to.... when it come to buy at $0.89c, to those who wish, wait for lower px, then pls wait lohh...can take your chance may come oso, for me. My choice. I apply 1st.

Business Times - 25 Jan 2007 (

(Some highlighted here)

WHAT do Keppel Corp, SMRT, PSA Int'l and SingTel have in
common?, each owns infrastructural assets critical to S'pore's social and economic activity. They now also have a potential avenue to divest assets through the CitySpring Infrastructure Trust, a fund seeking a listing on the (SGX) that sponsored by their parent Temasek Holdings.

It seems clear that CitySpring intends to grow by acquisition.

Judging from the trust's initial stable and not terribly exciting assets - City Gas, S'pore's sole retailer of town gas, and SingSpring, its first desalination plant - growth will not be organic.

In its prospectus, CitySpring hints acquisitions might come from it strategy to invest in infrastructure assets in three sectors - utilities, transport logistics, and telecommunications - focused in Asia, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. It lists sponsorship Temasek's major infrastructure, perhaps hinting at what is to come. Under utilities are SingaporePower, SembCorb Industries and Keppel Corp. Under transport logistics are PSA Int'l and SMRT Corp. Under telecoms, SingTel & ST Telemedia - which owns Starhub - are noted.

These firms, CitySpring (IPO) may prove a convenient vehicle to
lighten balance sheets and improve liquidity ratios. Investors in these
companies may read the trust's listing as a positive sign.

Personnal choice. 1st China farm (kena-got kopi $$$), 2nd choice Cityspring (init, kopi $$$-Yes, but slow, if it cross $1/- it may head for $1.50c to $1.80c after CNY. Just like Epure and CRCT. All depending on BBs and foreign invester bankers and look likely they will oso be vested in this water business re-cycle business trust where more infarstr.... will be injected, bringing up it shares value eventually. Just sharing my tot.  I m sub..for it Tikam tikam at ipo px oni.

Incidently Epure start it ipo at 65c and on it 1st few days, it traded some what is at it disappointed px of less then $1/- and look now it px closed off at $1.73c (+12c) or 166% in capitial appreciation. Singaporean what make you think it will fall below IPO price?
I strongly believe for 1st few days, the trend must be up. Even if buying in opening day, it will go up.

Good luck for you!

Will not apply for the IPO and wait till it falls below IPO price to come in.  Otherwise MIIF giving better yield?  It is a safe counter for conservative like me who seek regular dividends rather than price velocity.

This new infrastructure trust appears to be hardly able pay dividends out of earnings.  Have single digit profit margin and ROE.  Don't think going to trade much above IPO price
