The article is on Pg 21 Edge Magizine week April o MAy 06, 2007 under topic "Investors turn selective".......
This week April 30 to May 6 "The Edge" magizine has an article on Stamfordland.......
For the benefits of all the vestor in this counter i quote from the magzine as follows......
"Dealers says smaller caps could offer more value. Stamford Land for instance, has been underrated, says a dealer who thinks a takeover bid is brewing for the company. In April 12 update, CLSA had a fair value of 82.5 cents on the stock, which traded at 56 cents on April 27. Stamford Land was given out as a dividend-in-specie to Hai Sun Hup shareholders servaral years ago"..........
Hi .......On April 12, 2007 CLSA coverage on stamford land fair value px at 82 cents.......
Report can be found on SGX research report which is free.........
z040069,
My take is there are not many sellers.
Bear in mind that accumulation was done from about 40 cts to curent levels in a relativly short time.
FY 07 results is expected in less than 1 month time.....and its expected to be a sterling year with generous divvy.
Vested as one of my core holdings.

Are u sure australia's property px is only starting to wake up?
I thought australia's property px is ALREADY up and spore is now catching up.
I am not vested.
it seems that somebody has been pushing up this counter. since it can rise without many transactions taking place. Seems that there is still potential in this counter. vested
Read that Frasers Centrepoint investing heavily into Australian Property recently...seem the whole world's property is up but Australia's only starting to wake up...Stamford Land is already entrenched...so ready to ride!
Hi shplayer
Remember I posted that I hv also increased my holdings during end Mar?
My initial target is 48 cents, & followed by 60 cents. I was expecting this to happen , but nvr expected it to happen so fast.....in juz 2 weeks time....
Nevertheless I m still holding & looking forward to the Financial Results in May....
IreneL,
Good for you. Glad you made a tidy profit.
In my view, the business outlook for SLL has not changed and my forecast for FY 2007 results remains as in my earlier posts. Will review my outlook when results are released (end May) or when further news develops.
Whilst I may occassionally trade, I usually hold my core holdings till I see changes in the direction of business outlook.
As for whether you should go in or not, you need to make your own call on that. However, lets just say that I am not looking at increasing my holdings at this level.....I am pretty happy with my current position.
Hi shplayer
Sold off last week at 0.53 (bought at 0.405). Am thinking of buying back. What's your view?
Are you still comfortable / bullish with Stamford Land?
Many thanks. Have a great week.
hmm shplayer, you are still watching this one. I took the opportunity to get out today. Took you advice, make some, leave some for others.
Elf: divested today. Can afford to buy you sake liao.
Looks like its trying to find a new level.
REIT rules are changing in Aussie...see news report. May have implications ofr STL going forward...if they choose this path....
The Australian government plans changes to the tax treatment of Australian listed property trusts (LPTs) that will boost their competitiveness abroad, an Australian trade magazine said yesterday.
According to a report in Financial Standard, the Minister for Revenue and Assistant Treasurer Peter Dutton said plans were afoot to provide LPTs - the Australian version of real estate investment trusts (REITs) - a means for rolling over some of their capital gains tax (CGT) liabilities.
?This may have implications for Australian REITs? expansion plans into Europe, as they will be better able to justify potential transactions to their investors on more attractive after-tax ROEs,? a note from investment bank JP Morgan said.
As well as providing a capital gains tax rollover for investors where there was a unit trust in place between a stapled group and its stapled entities, the planned changes would also ensure there were no tax triggers that might lead to the entire income of the interposed unit trust being treated as if it were a company.
?These proposals seek to improve the international competitiveness of stapled entities, such as Australian property trusts, and to facilitate their expansion into offshore markets,? Mr Dutton was quoted by the report as saying.
Cash-rich Australian property funds invested around US$6 billion in Europe last year, more than half of it in Germany, data from property services firm Jones Lang LaSalle showed last month.
Another US$3 billion each was invested in Asian and US property, fuelled by annual inflows into Australian property funds of about US$4 billion annually, Jones Lang said.

k, elf just divested stl at 52/51.5c. gonna follow trend and trade counter.
careful, seeing large sell quotes now. eastonbay?
hi cashiertan, if you're interested in shorting, perhaps not yet. still got large lots bought up. retail sells only.
eastonbay and shplayer, close watch? hehe.
btw, try not to trade in 1st hr of market. mostly emotional trading then.
short this bugger? over bought heavily
elf, thanks very much for your pointers ("
Do what they do, not what they say")... with that pointer I found a guiding light in the way to go about this.
wah sian. why they issue report so fast...
xmen, elf gave my earliest tech call for stl on 24th march alr (then: 58c in abt 6 mths). brokerage houses playing hokey man, issue report after they buy: tech charts show they've been buying since last friday....
note my highest tech count is 63c, they're giving a more bullish 64-66c. reasons can be guessed. hehe.
da gege and eastonbay, 1st signal of storm code up alr. next stage: brokerage houses gonna talk up the stock. keke. For traders: follow the buy/sell vols. when you see large consistent sells, follow and sell. Do what they do, not what they say. this is the second up wave. if this is the case elf might follow trend and lock in some profit. see how.
CIMB report was release today morning......
