When I read it, I can sense that he's on a high..Well, hope tmr will be another high tide for Genting again.

Ha ha, AK brought up since childhood till completing Form Five, then equivalent to Sec 4 in Spore, in my kampong.

AK living in a very poor family n childhood environment. I learned all sort of gambling games fr young, by observing n with some dry runs with improvised game sets. I guess, not many SJ buddies know to play Chinese Dominos, 牌 九。

But I just hate to place my hands on the gaming tables in Genting Msia, Macau, Korea, Cruises n even the newly opened Casino in homeland. Its solely, self-deciplined n understanding of the side effect of the endings, if indulged in the hopeless gambling trial loh. Ha ha, on the otherhand, at times, small tikam on 4 D n Toto lah.

Folks, May Day ah, going down kopitiam to meet people session n hv some cold Carlsberg liao. Cheers.

 

Gambling is the most discretionary of discretionary spending. When the economy is bad, with the exception of hardcore punters, people cut down on trips to casinos. The reverse is true now that everyone knows the economy is picking up. I think the gambling sector as a whole, including MBS' holding company Las Vegas Sands, will see more upside these two years. I'm not vested in Genting so good luck to those holding the stock. Cheers.

Is trenching down and great wall defend once, it held well (But with many pot holes), next another great invisible wall was built, it went against it at 0.90ct B4 holding up at 0.94ct

 

Just FY info: This one involve billion of dollars, cannot fail. it joy-ly required retaillers wholesales support to push px up B4 BBs can make another offer. if it requried 3 round to bring in more money to support Genting Berhad ( Genting Grp) n Genting SP.

Do not worry lah. Certain forumers here oredi said many, many time liao $1.6-$2 come FEB 2010.

BBs vested (Oct 2009 price- 12 Oct Those holding nil-paid rights have to pay up ($0.80 per share) by this date)and then 0.95ct conversion to finish their job, then wait for next round liao

If not, if not for BBs vested/support Gent SP can still be so good meh ??. Take the Q from here. There last strong hold is still holding up well.

Just back from MBS...wow...can even see the jackpots and tables from outside...but kinda empty...the levy machines are a cool and creative thinking on MBS side...guards are courteous...but not as many attractions as RWS for picture taking...more like KLCC with Casino I feel

 

Ok, I understand that what you are saying.

But I beg to differ when you said that a small minority become rich by playing stocks...

Fund managers have tons and tons of other people's money to play with, yet even they are struggling just to

beat the indices. This they do by diversification of portfolio, trend analysis, etc.

Playing stocks is not a good way to be rich, like doing commercial business, show business, etc...

personally i do not think MBS open is a bad thing. just look at macau, there are so many casinos there and not lack of punters. in fact more casinos will provide gamblers with more choices and attract more to visit. i have faith in RWS but just hope that their UK operations can be profitable as well, else it will pull down the overall performance.

having said that, also need to make sure the theme & other attractions will not end up become a burden to the casino revenue, the management seems to be confident with the overall operations during the recent agm.

 

I think uncle AK very smart to take this stance. Right now the wind can blow both ways and seriously, everyone bull or bear, is uncertain liao...So must wait for dust to settle before can see clearer !

CLSA target $1.4 on 18/03/10 & CIMB target $1.23 on 29/04/10.

I target $1.20 to off load half first as I belief Genting money no enough as 2nd phase of resort need money.
