bear markets are characterised by lower lows with intermittent rallies..

bull markets are characterised by higher highs with intermittent pullbacks..

guess which scenario we're in?

I missed the first round to claim dividend early, so went for it today sold at 4.35 (didn't catch 3.38). Hope to buy back at 4.

Just a few days for $3000+ profit on the table (if played 10 lots) is not bad!... Smiley

Counter quite active today.. hit a daily high of 4.31 so far today. Managed to let go at 4.29 and make 28 cents...

See if this counter will dip to 3+ again..

The current situation is liken to the Banker Panic of 1907.  Except this time round, government intervened.  Bank panic because they are afraid of a run and they will hoard cash, like DBS, so panic that they are raising money through rights issue. And so cheap.

When bank don't lend so much, it will screw Keppel both directly and indirectly. Actually, everyone, but company which need huge investment will be affected.  And company that is highly leverage will be worst like Reit, which borrow a lot money to fund their acq.

Coming back to your question, while the chances of Keppel and OCBC going bust is low and good chance that both will emerge from this recession.

The question is what will become of them ? A one dollar small cap or still the same or better ? I guess no one knows.

Don't play long term now, the time will come when it is cheap and safe to buy.  Not just purely cheap.

For now, just do trading play. 10~30 cts profit sell.....make sure you have cash most of the time.
