Stock analysis and academic discussion of stocks is itself a
very involved and time-consuming activity...
Definitely not my cup of tea!
But I do recommend it to all for the sake of the academic activity itself.
To the advanced veterans here, my contribution will not appeal to them,
as they (the contributions) are not the least academic,
But rather, at times, comical at best...
For the rest (
Ah Peks/Ah Sohs/Tai-tais), I have already given the best advice humanly possible...
which is...
"Don't Play With Shares!"...
hehehe...
thanks for sharing your thinking and it definitely helps me in tweaking my analysis of certain stocks...somehow I feel that some ppl here are just being afraid of sharing their trading methods, either scared ppl earn more than them or scared gena scolded for giving incorrect advices...well still, great to know that there are still some who is willing to share their knowledge.
Cheers.

Whether it is high or low is all about valuation. The "price tag" on the particular counter does not mean a thing. You need to look at the total shares available for this counter and the EPS. From there you will then find out the multiple. Normally it is the multiple or P/E ratio investors use to judge the valuation of the particular counter. In a perfect environment you then use 2 similar leading companies dealing with the exact same business and work out the multiples for them both. eg: Company A is having a multiple of 5X its earning as compare to Company B having a multiple of 7X its earning.... then Company is deemed to be cheaper. But having said all these theories, to me personally it is the prospect and possible future growth, management, sustainability of cash flow (profitability) of the company that form the determining factors for me to invest into it. Hence Company B might seem expensive but if it has better prospect and management, I would prefer to buy it. ( Nothing cheap is good, nothing good is cheap........ ha ha ha .. but dun over do it to the point kana "carrot" la .....) Above is just my view on it..... pls ignore it if anyone find it incorrect.

able to share when is low and when is high? If G13 used to trade at $2 and now its going up towards $1, is it still considered low or too high to follow? If you have stocks for G13, used to trade at $2 and you bought at 40cts, is current price high enough for you to sell? Not trying to be funny, just want to find out some trading strategies to improve my own. :)

Every day, any day, at every moment, it can either go up or go down...
Investors will hold for higher and higer and higher prices...
with the greatest patience in the whole world...
Traders will take a goodly chunk of real profits when they see it in front of them...
But most people will not know what to do...
They will go around the coffee shops, they will use SMS,
telephone, or 'go up' cybernet to ask the most interesting and wise forum people, etc...
But in the end, they will not do anything...
They will normally "let it go up some more" ...

Wow, when we sell it go up but when we buy, it always go down. Never able to sell for the best profit. Anywhere, I still with the old principle, buy at low price and sell at high price. No chasing lah...
