S - Chips  Story --

While talking someone, this person said to us that the taxi driver told him:

I picked up a China lady from  changi airport and  she spoke very loudly on her handphone :

Plse help me find a  50000 sqft bungalow, if not, 60000 or 70000 also good. Then the taxi said " Miss, you are very rich, not many singaporeans can own a private property and 80% of singaporeans stay in HDB flat."     That Lady replied in mandarin : " yes, sir,  we China people  Public Listed  our business here in singapore, and we made  few thousand billions RMB" .

China Gaoxian Back To IPO Level Short Term Bulls Wrong-footed

Is a stock at $0.33 cheap if it was trading three weeks ago at $0.47? Many speculators probably think so. No doubt many will be wondering how much they could profit if price just went back to the previous level.
If you feel like jumping in to buy China Gaoxian, STOP! Although the stock is not exactly a falling knife, some caution is required to handle price corrections such as this. Let’s look at the facts.
  1. Price looks like a falling knife because there was a big price drop accompanied by high volume.
  2. However it is still part of an uptrend since it is above the 200-day moving average and we can see no obvious bearish reversal pattern.

The two observations above contradict. What should we do?

From October 2010 to January 2011, the counter went through a steep rally that saw price more than double. In such a situation, a steep correction is probably justified. In technical analysis, there is a rule that says that steep rallies are not sustainable because short term bulls earned a lot of money in a short time and therefore are prone to profit taking. As price comes down, those who bought high add to selling pressure when they cut losses. Lastly, bears who know this rule are naturally emboldened to short sell because they expect correction to take place.

What is important is not to commit too quickly. Afterall cheap can get cheaper. We want to find a place where the selling ends and we can buy a safe rebound.

As long as price finds support at or above the 200-day moving average, long term bulls are likely to agree that the uptrend in price is intact. Wait for price to come to this moving average or any support above that before committing. Long term bulls could also wait for price to make sideways consolidation. Such consolidations can form good bases for subsequent rallies to come. When you buy at a good base, you can probably sleep better at night.

One point to note though: if prices go down past the 200-day moving average non-stop with high volume, a re-evaluation might be necessary.

But who could have thought that Koreans investors wouldn't

But such is the present hard reality of the stock market and life itself... Smiley

Wah lau. Shorters kenna again. Touch 0.315 and than bounced back.  Only price done early was 0.33 before market opened. Married I think. WHihc means shorters in the morning now sweating more than the rain outside.

Think will be at this level for some time now. Better cover back.

Valuation/Recommendation
• We reiterate a buy increasing our one-year target price to S$0.53 (previous S$0.32) suggesting a 26.2% upside. We value the stock by applying a 10x PE multiple to 2011F earnings, switching to a relative valuation methodology in order to better reflectindustry valuations of both Singapore and Korean peers.

• At 10x PE, we are assuming a 46% discount to Gaoxian’s Korean-listed peers and a 15% discount to its Singapore-listed peers. We believe the discount is justified given: a) execution risk arising from the large scale capacity expansion and b) market risk arising from uncertainty over the PET/PTA price differential going forward.

• Our valuation also implicitly yields a very undemanding 0.53x PEG multiple for the stock, using a three-year average EPS growth of 18.9%. (2010-13 CAGR)
