it's not a good idea to form your opinion based on what one person says/believes

I copy and paste this from the other forum, which sum up the whole thing

" I have stent and before the operations, I asked the cardologist, are u using biosensor stents He reply I don't use second grade stents, and ME onli uses J n J stents"

Questions to answer:

  • If you need stents and can afford it, will you get a second grade stents?
  • If price control is applied on stents and first grade stents are made more  affordable, how to make the second grade attractive? Cut the price further?

I'm not in the med profession, so i dont understand  on what  basis  the doc refer stents as second grade or other. However, the  doc  quoted  is from our Mt E! premuim hospital for the rich!

Biosensors stents are sold all over the world, how  much of the population out there can afford premium grade stents? Thankfully Biosensors is not premium grade and  hence more affordable!

The last few qtrs earnings hv been strong,  however, mkt  is expecting weaker  earnings,  and  have been  pricing it  into the depressed price.  Let's wait and see Nov 7.

ASP = average selling price. Drop in ASP means less revenue for Biosensors.

Wondering what is ASP? How come it affect Biosensors so much?

Stock down due to drop in ASP and market share loss in Japan (Terumo).

It is seldom for a real big buyers or sellers to show their hand. Many of us gets excited when we see big buy queue or big sell queue.

There's more queueing to buy than to sell since morning.

Price is somewhat  oversold, PE ratio only 4X.  EPS US$ 21.2cts.  NAV 84cts. (from shares investment.com)

Seems like b4 earnings are out next week (7 Nov after 5pm), uncertainty will continue to haunt Biosensors.

Buy now if  you  adopt an investor mentality, ie believe in the business and willing to stay the course.

I think it's too early for long. Won't take short position, either. As the reward won't be that great.    Just my personal opinion.

I see more downside, rather than upside for now.

Chartreader, yes, think  positive and move on, look for the next opportunity, and congrats for the profits.

Bought this morning, 1.04, irresistable price, grab!

Yes, we are disappointed with a  management who is not transparent, and never come out  to assure  shareholders nothing  wrong with the  business,  and who does nothing to keep prices up eg share buyback. But mkt forces is such that when the price has hit bottom, like now, it's an opportunity to load some, before it's too late.

Hey, it's profit. You should be happy and just move on next trade.

I think Biosensers last time got below 60 cts.

Over the years from 50plus cents rose until now $1plus,

Is Price gradually Going back to where it 1st started???

Sell off with high volume. Looks like lots of people are dumping and others are picking up the dead chickens.  Smiley 140

In a sell off based on bad company performance, the price drops by more than 50% to as much as 90% drop. Biosensors price drop looks more like market fear, people groping in the dark trying to get out to avoid losing money.

What are the chances of Biosensors going bankrupt or losing money?  Smiley 156
