Looks like support is around $4 judging from the 7day average.
I'll wait for a while first.

SINGAPORE, Sept 4 (Reuters) - CapitaLand may be in focus onThursday after the real-estate developer announced its sale of
Capital Tower Beijing for $352 million.

CapitaLand (CATL.SI: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Wednesday it sold Capital Tower Beijing for $352 million, reaping a S$163 million ($114 million) gain. It added that this would enable it to redeploy more capital to undertake developments in China, reported the
Business Times on Thursday.

Singapore Hot Stocks-CapitaLand, City Dev, Keppel Land in focus

Lehman Brothers downgraded the Singapore property sector to "neutral" from "positive" on Wednesday, and said a near-term economic slowdown was likely to hamper private housing and office markets over the next 12 months. It prefers real estate investment trusts (REITS) to developers, and cited Suntec REIT and CapitaLand .

Welcome back Elfin.
Glad to read your posts again. BTW, what is GS?

Looks like bottoming out for this. MA crossing over. MACD as well.

incidentally...

ever noticed how, when GS issues a report on a singapore stock/sector/index, the index will move in its direction, and then go the other way with large lots traded?

Eg, GS called sell on local props just recently. but what do the charts say instead? capland is bottoming. with large buyups today. and everyday when it dips below 4.2. a lot of married trades.

it's a trader's game. 413 to 440 range play for this baby.

(note: above is only for rapid trades. distinct from the post below with support levels stated; that's with a 3-6mth horizon.)

personally tho, i don't consider capland a sit-and-hold counter. it's a trading counter even tho it's a blue.

5 yr chart for capland:

3.95 support.

3.13 support.

note: DON'T try to predict the bottom; let it take its own course.

wait for it to bottom, consider buying longer term (2009) capland calls instead.

I think capitaland is very oversold.

It is very cheap now. But I think it will fall further in this market condition. I am thinking of loading up when price hits around $4.10

Is it a good time to bottom fish property stocks??? You may wish to read the article at the following link.

http://www.china.org.cn/business/news/2008-08/28/content_16351497.htm

Wonder how significant such move will affect the already down property stocks?
