At $3.50?...it will be a 5 yrs low. Have any blue chip hit that level so far? I dun see it coming esp. after they've raise various print price effective Oct 1 to offset the increase in paper/operational cost. Conversely, i foresee it heading north towards $4 range in the coming days.

I used to own quite a substanital # of SPH shares and in view of its redundancy, I sold it beginning of this year @ an average of $4.50.

Usually around this time of the year, SPH will start to rise for, at least, 40-50 cents. The fact that it is now hovering around $3.90 tells me that my guess is correct.

If it drops below $3.50, I may try my luck again at this counter. Smiley

People are switch away to growth stocks. It is the right move but with risk. I've thought of that also but did not do it as I want to keep some safer ones as some kind of "bonds"

This is a rare chance to buy at such a discount ......

Looking forward to SPH continuing to give good dividend.....

down side risk is rental erosion at Paragon .... and other risk is the advert reduction due to poor property market sentiment ....

On the other hand, it may be a good opportunity to buy the stock for the year-end dividend... Smiley

Very rare for SPH to plunge down by more than 10 cents; the markets must be very bad....

There's a few way to do it. Either using a chart or current trend for the day. As for $4.05 - $ 4.07, I'm using current trend based on market depth.
