Horts might die young if insurance claims are made and paid to Oceanus.  But I suppose hurdles might be put up in an uneven level at here (here is HERE, Sinpapore is here).

OK, good to know something.  If there is insurance payments, then Oceanus will go back to pre-fall levels, right?

Laulan      ( Date: 21-Nov-2011 10:15) Posted:

If there is proper coverage paid for, of course the loss could be paid by an insurance company.  The question is what is the policy insured against? Inmost cases that I know, insurers look at (study) the hazards before acceptance of premiums.I am not sure if they take up insurance against unnatural death of the assets.  If they had, then insurance will pay later after investigation.

Today trading, look like got some stronger supporter coming in...as prices look quite attractive them. The players and mkt seem to look at Oceanus more flavourable, hope i m not saying it to early.

Happy trading...Ya. :)

I am very tempted to buy this counter given the price has been so rock bottomed.  Thought to myself, when  would I ever be given this opportunity to buy Oceanus at so cheap a price?

It went into lower low after news break, and now trading at 0.070 cents, -0.001c or down 1.4% on vol of 4,182 lots changed hand last Friday.

Looking at  before breaking news, it had fallen much more over the past three mths from 0.155 onward - since early Sept 2011.  Down somewhat by 30% just B4 3rd Q news result is announced.

3rd Q. News break was on or about on this date,  9 Nov, after a delay  for about 2 weeks.  (42 mil dead abalone and CEO resign), don mean Co close shop, price last done  at current  price 0.070c  - down about 30%.

Like any others stock. It had equally been  punishment by investors / punters and Speculators. http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/q/ta?s=579.SI& t=3m& l=on& z=l& q=l& p=& a=m26-12-9& c=

teeth53 thot - 4th Q news maybe so much better then 3rd Q news in term  of it  result - relatively. Case study to me is comparable to HanKore (former name is Biotreat).

Would be punters/speculators and vested stake holders. Trade at  oneself own  risk. Will it fall again..?.

Regret and or regrettable, it up to  d market players. Just sharing my thot.

Thk Q, just human to err...people's are just like U said - betting on whatever players think (thot). To me, is good px to enter...others may think differently or others wise. Giving market d respect in relative term.

Long, short or to  hold... it just been speculative - in related term.

Sifu is right... It is all about speculating, which is good...

Regretably you may be right.

Recent quarterly losses is already big worry but also look at cash positions in their balance sheet. Shareholders needs to ask what happened to all that cash raised at last year's secondary listing in Taiwan....

Case study to consider, look at China Hongxing......

Abalone is too rich and it is not suitable for people who have LDL (bad cholestorol)

Nothing like a big slice of it smooth, succulent and steamed... shiokest...

For small ones, one can also try pacific clams... Smiley

I love abalones after recently introduced to me by some friends.   The small ones are very nice to eat, and they come in one whole abalone. Smaller ones are cheaper than the bigger ones which normally come in slices, but for the small ones you could actually bite off at the whole abalone itself and enjoy crunching it.

Oceanus grp is in the news, for a timing reason, mid term still look good in d eye of it Executive Chairman.

Mr Ng Cher yew. today Sat ST paper mentioned - Super abalone to help Oceanus get back in the swim.

He team is getting into balancing long term gains and short-term cash flow, including farming seacumber next year  and bring in more qualified  science staffs to stop the bleeding.

To get back is sales order, abalone bleed in 2007 and 2008 will be put up for sales, likely to gain a revenue of 150 to 200 million yuan for next year.

Part of this mony will reinvested in buying high genetic good brood stock  (female abalone) that is likely to reproduce high-quality offspring.

It hope to turn it finances around  by 2013 with a clear upgrading plan. Investigation is still going...

if the new CEO can present a new roadmap, say rear premium lobsters, it may be a turn around. They should get an Australian CEO for this...
