wow lucky, i have not shorted the counter yet....
anyone shorting this share today? Could you share your sentiments as i am considering shorting it today.
samuel, to elaborate, this counter has a problem with liquidity; meaning that very few people trade this counter. if you compare this reit to Suntec Reit or Fraser Commercial Trust, it is illiquid. Those liquid counters, there is alot more interest in the share and hence if people need to sell their shares, it is easier and doesn't affect the share price so much as there is always a buyer. For illiquid counters, selling generates significant downward pressure on the price as can be seen from the recent price movement on this counter.
Can you explain in greater detail what you mean by liquidity issue?

just look at the TERP, which is 3.20. The share price is trading way below the theoretical ex-rights price and i suspect it is largely becos of the liquidity issue.
actually if you look at the usual trading volume of this counter, it is usually very low compared to the other REITs counters. It is one of the least traded of all the REITs counters. Hence when the fund managers needed to sell their shares to pay for the rights issue, the share price fell like a stone.
I feel it is fairly liquid.. unless u trade by 1000s lots at any given time then maybe it is alittle illiquid

samuel.... this counter is not good because it is not liquid.... so if you need money urgently.... difficult to sell. but on the flip side, if any big boys wanna ramp up the share price.... think it is easily done.... but the yield is great
close 2.50.. nt bad la.. hope by end of Rights trading it can be ard $2.60

Does someone know what is so terrible about this reit compared to other reits and property stocks such that it is underperforming by such a large margin for so many years since its listing?
