Singapore gal is correct that its a down trend by look at those historical data but normally a down trend will turn into the opposite as volume has actually doubled or even more these few days. Seems like foreign investers are parking their money in this counter for the upcoming budget and FY statements and maybe dividends. So Uptrend for me a slightly undervalue considering the fact after securing more than $1 billion contract this financial year.

Group is expecting to release earnings on 15 Feb, will the uptrend be sustained?

Everyone now is waiting for the Budget Day to take any actions so TA might not be appropriate. But just took out SembMar charts and must agreed with singaporegal, it might be "completing" its double-bottom buy follow by a decline as the convergence had shown. Exercise caution on this one. A good post for u, singaporegal. :)

Caution on Sembmar.... the price action seems to be in up-down cycles. The peaks are getting lower and lower. If you look at the Acc/Dist charts for the past 3-4 months, its actually on a downtrend.

Price still hover ard 3.36-3.40.....with 6.6B contract, it should be more than $4!  When is the result coming out?

I notice that the price of SembMar and Sembcorp always moved in tandem with each other. SembMar shd be catching up with Sembcorp soon...

Hey Sporeguy,

Oops...... my mistake here. I type on the chart too fast ... was looking at the SembCorp one instead of SembMar. Gimme a bad post!

Yah... SembMar looks to be on a downtrend.

Hi Sporegal, why do you said SembMar is on uptrend even though AD & C charts are trending down. The only consolation is that the bottom of the C chart ended up higher. I am not saying SembMar is not good, I feel that it is fine as long as it can keep above $3.20 as supported by its fundamentals.

jimitan,

At the risk of being told off for posting this on the wrong thread, SembCorp Ind currently has 3 core businesses:

Sembmarine

Utilities

Semb Environ

Sembmar and Utilities are about equal in weighting; Sembenviron in still too insignificant.

Sembmar growth is stagnant due to the shipyards running at full capacity.

Utilities is the growth sector....will be interesting to see how the contributions from the Faujiarah project contributes to the group....bear in mind it only came onstream for less than half of the 4th Q.

tks, have been holding on to my lots since 3.36 price.  But this ctr can falls quite substantially like it did from 4.04 to 3.60 someting. Problem is how to determine the right time to let go.

Hi jimitan,

Sembcorp is definitely bullish. Most TA charts are bullish.

To singaporegal,

What about the parent sembcorp. Had already broke 4.04,  the last high. What is the trend?

I think its still on a downtrend as I mentioned a couple of days back. The huge gain yesterday was not sustainable and was probably due to market being bullish yesterday.

Just to recall previous posting.

The triple head may or may NOT form as it could just oscillates within the range $3.20-$3.50. So have to use FA to help in the judgement. As long as it does not dip below $3.20, it is fine.
