KE analyst Geraldine Eu said Tai Sin holds a 30% market share in the local cable market, adding that "with Tai Sin's high exposure to the electric cable market, we view the company as a close proxy and prime beneficiary of the construction boom in Singapore and the region".

KimEng targets $0.69!!!!!!!!CHEONG AH!!!!!

Initiate coverage with a Buy based on 10x FY08 PE

At S$0.435, Tai Sin is trading at attractive FY07 and FY08 PE multiples of 8.1x and

6.3x respectively versus 17.1x and 10.6x for industry peers. With strong market

positioning in a robust construction industry, minimal capex and new overseas

initiatives, we view Tai Sin as an attractive growth play. We are initiating coverage

with a BUY and target price of S$0.69 based 0.4x PEG or 10x FY08 PE. Key risk is

that the group?s earnings are vulnerable to the highly volatile copper prices.

Kenny,

so far no news come out. but definitely something going on.
Be aware this counter is a favourite of some punters.
just before rights issue annoucment made, it was driven up all the
way to 61 cents and then like roller coaster came back to 43 cents all without any major news breakout.
so i think u need to get your timing right on this counter before u enter.

i would advice never to enter at the current highest price, buy on days when STI is down or maybe wait for T+3 days contra after today when contra players taken out.

i would think the day new rights shares are issued, you will see a bit more selling. and if you see announcements section of this counter, every day some or other Director selling cos it has so many small subsidarys and all of their directors have employee shares.

i think anything between 29 to 32 cents in current situation should be good. you may want to wait till april 21st as well just after new shares.
but just my opinion, im no Guru.

as for me im holding a few lots so might just take a gamble and wait till june for final results.

good luck

u might want to wait till they announce rights and bonus dividend before u decide to sell off?
the bonus dividend should pay for the rights so no extra outlay from your pocket.
revenue wise company doing good and with construction uptrend this yr should be okay. if copper prices dont go up better for the company.

good luck

It is still downtrend. Bottom out? Maybe for another week. Even then, it is still risky to enter. You may get whipsawed. Right now, you are holding on to a loser. I guess other forumer will agree with me that the best thing to do is to cut loss and switch to better ones mentioned in this forum. Why get deeper ?
