I think that singaporegal is the Shifu to all forumers @ ShareJunction.
Don't call me Shifu!
Yah... that's pretty much right. The only reason why I'm concerned about volume is that TA isn't accurate on those low volume stocks.
When I say "Low volumes... TA people should avoid" ... it doesn't mean that the stock is a bad counter. It could actually be a good stock FA-wise.
And legoz100 is right... because I trade only high volume counters, this means that a sizable portion of the stock market are not of interest to me.

i think u misunderstood singaporegal. i dun think she is saying that volume is everything. volume is a critical indicator which needs to be looked at carefully if u are applying TA to any particular stock. stocks with low volume dun realli lend support the charts. besides, low volumes are also more prone to market manipulation by the big boys
am i right. "shifu singaporegal"
Many warrants are settled nowadays by means of cash settlement rather than physical delivery. Meaning the warrant issuer pays you the difference between the market price and the strike price, they dun let u convert the warrant into the mother share.
lighthouse,
that would depend on the type of warrant u are holding. there are 2 main types, american and european warrants. u can exercise american style warrants anytime before the expiry date. unfortunately, in Singapore, most warrants are european style warrants. meaning that u can only exercise it on the expiry date itself
Singaporegal,
Seems to me that you are particularly focus on volume only. I tend to take volume with a pinch of salt. You should do the same too. Hahah..
If volume is everything, the only watchlist we should have are the 'top 30' volume each day. =)
Low volumes are dangerous... you might get trapped if you're not careful
thanks ten4one,
actually only a few lots...
You can exercise your warrant on any market day before the expiry date. If you're not to sure how to go about it, ask your Broker to do it for you. Hope that helps. cheers!
low volumes... TA people avoid!
can I exercise my warrant anytime?
now the mother share higher than warrant plus exercise
I hope the expansion of the company goes well... bought when i see that it wanted to issue rights.
Good evening Singaporegal, thanks for yr advice. God bless.
volumes for this counter quite lousy... not too good from TA view
Eng Kong proposed 1 wrt at $0.01 for every 4 shares, each wrt at the exercise price of $0.05 on 22.8.06. It is trading CR today. Can anyone advise TA/FA of this counter as I have been holding this baby at 0.54 since 2000. Vested.
