No more telco story........
Next support shd be 80 which is price aberdeen paid for.
Of course it can break if they are the ones to redeem it back.
more fall coming? Can short tomorrow?
Going to $1 again.
So a gap waiting to close at 95.
However saw Aberdeen saw some stakes probably under fund redemption.
For moment 80cents remains strong support.
Telcos saga over, the musical chair game will pause before cheong again.
Plenty of work n job, don noe sub-con can earn alot or not n collect theri due after completing their projects .
As BBs giving oput work n job oso don earn money in the first, first place BBs is lossing big money.
Big-con, big-con oso need to loss alot, alot of money, sub-con loss less, loss less....
Give it a thought
Yoma Strategic Holdings Limited announced that the Digicel consortium is disappointed to have been notified that it has not been successful in securing one of the two nationwide telecommunications licences on offer in Myanmar. Digicel remains committed to exploring commercial opportunities in Myanmar and will be evaluating these on an ongoing basis. (Closing price: -, -%)
Yoma now 885cts can buy or sell,,
It quite obvious. Yoma is putting on a " telecom show" to lure unsuspecting BBs and retailer investors.
Till now, they the govt approval for the mega property project have yet to materialise...with
awardee need to pour several billions into building Myanmar telecom fragile infrastructure.
and  those laws and regulations still in it in-fancy stage.
Take a look at Thais telecom industries n one can hav an idea how it work.
Myanmar is one up and even more on national interest come  first.
Give it a thought.
Yoma would hav breed dry, rising money. While singel with alot of cash may oso breed, so is both their local partners.
If ONI they win...lucky Bo tio ARGHHH. Time to take a look at yongnam n CNA...
knee jerk likely today on loss of Telco.. think DBS analyst did a gd job in recommending a 74x PE

Myanmar delays telco licenses
• Postponed until new telco law is passed
• Bids may require local participation

raise concerns on government’s ability to execute Hopefully, delay will not be long drawn as it could

S$1.08 TP No earnings impact on Yoma Maintain BUY and
Myanmar has delayed award of the two telco licenses
scheduled to be announced today.
Parliament voted to delay awarding the licenses until a new
telecommunications law governing the industry is passed.
Members of the Parliament agreed that the " industry risked
being monopolised" if the winners of the
telecommunications license were announced before a new
telecommunications law is passed in the country.
In addition, it was also proposed that only foreign
companies with a local joint-venture partner should be
granted a telecommunications license, although it is unclear
whether this new rule will be adopted. Some of the foreign
bidders, including a consortium of Orange and Japan's
Marubeni Corp. and Bharti Airtel, are competing for a
license without a local partner.
The Telecommunications Operator Tender Evaluation and
Selection Committee is the independent body that oversees
the bid but members of Parliament said that the decision
from its lower house would override the authority of the
Telecommunications Operator Tender Evaluation and
Selection Committee. Hence, it is now unclear when the
winners will be announced.
Although bureaucratic delays are common in frontier
markets, we hope that the delay will not be for too long as
these developments - telecom networks and airports - are
the new government's first attempts to revamp the country.
It is crucial that the government shows that they are able to
plan and execute the country's development forward. Yesterday, Myanmar’s

our forecast any earnings impact from this telco bid.

Will this counter do catching up after yesterday halt? Don think the contract will affect the earning in fact might be a blessing for not getting it...US9billions...you wont know what is the Myanmar next move.... my frd in the 90s set up a company with a Myanmar general..he brought in cranes and stuff and when everything is done, he was forced to leave the country by his partner...lost close to 400K there....
As far as I can remember , I don't think it has move up significantly.

No, will go down a little then turn up tomorrow. It is better they don't get it. The initial cost will bankrupt them.
I think so too.......

So will this counter be whack by shortise? I believe so.
Atom99 ( Date: 27-Jun-2013 20:09) Posted:
YOMA did not get the license may be a bless in disguise. If it win a license it will have to raise significant amount of money. It will be a drain on YOMA financially during start up for a few years.
Better to concentrate on its core business- property development which is in high demand at the moment |
