Genting as a hotel + universal studio + casino, need to keep a balance... they need to attract middle class visitor + VIP....

Genting malaysia got VIP room for VIP...  i guess RWS sure have a few as well...

anyway... i think the free drink should be pretty diluted... keep people see see look look, one day got chance that one fall into trap, and then pay for a lot more for the coffee Smiley

Only regret i have on casino stock, is not dare to buy when Las Vegas Sand dropped to 1 dollar...

In order to curb those non-gambling people to set foot at RWS, RWS should come out with a rule i.e. - must exchange into chips worth $100 or top up their membership cards at least $100 before they could step into casino.

At RWS, Some go there just to drink coffee and look , see, look, see , go toilets pang sai......

MBS dont have coffee station, and you dont see so many of these 'look-see' non-gamblers there.

Forget about this counter.Wait for opportunity ONLY.

We should move on to other counters.

freshmind      ( Date: 05-Jul-2010 11:16) Posted:

Investing in Genting sp is meaningless, so many time they treat the small investors like a fool!  Putting money in the shares just like no different as gambling in the casino.

Errr.... I think $100 does not really deter a gambler from going (just probably means $100 less capital to them). More like the $100 is to deter the non-gambler like me from 'over clouding' the place and consuming resources that would have otherwise be meant for the gambler ; )

The $100 levy deter me and many of my friends from going to the casino.

Understand that many foreign workers especially from China and India

are crowding the place.Do they have the money to gamble in the casino or

are they there to look see. Many ppls inside the casino doesn't alway mean

that business is very good lol, hahaha

The Chinese can stay in CHU HAI (CHINA) and walk over to Macau to gamble.

Likewise why should I pay $100 levy a day to gamble here.

The $100 levy is to discourage Singaporean from going to the

casino to gamble. The social effects will take place very soon

My opinion only. Let's wait and see.
