Visitors from Indonesia (214,000), Malaysia (93,000), India (83,000), Australia (75,000) and China (69,000) accounted for more than half of the arrivals last month.

Fourteen of the 15 top markets also registered positive yearon- year growth last month. China, Malaysia and Hong Kong registered the highest growth out of the top 15 markets.

The STB said hotels’ average occupancy rate posted a 12.3-percentage- point increase to reach 88 per cent. The average room rate increased by 22.7 per cent to reach an estimate of $219 last month.— Visitor arrivals registered 26.7 per cent growth to reach 950,000 last month, the highest recorded for the month ever. It is also the seventh consecutive month of record visitor arrivals, said the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

 

People short no use, majority will only get SHOT!!! The price will only come down substantially if the BB/MM short. Remember, they are controlling the price! And they will short once they feel enough people are carrying their babies...

On Tuesday, Genting continue to rally strongly after a break out yesterday and closed at $1.26 with high volume of 0.17 billion shares traded.

Three white candles occurred in the last three days.  Although these candles were not big enough to create three white soldiers, the steady upward pattern is bullish.

Both RSI & MACD are bullish though RSI at overbought region.

Important Resistance of Genting: $1.26

Immediate Support of Genting: $1.20

At this point of time we would not encourage anyone to enter now since RSI at overbought and prices are well above 20/50/100/200 days MA at $1.26SEE ANALYSIS ON KEPCORP (WEAK BREAKOUT TODAY) IF VESTED

We would expect all time high resistance at $1.30 to be very strong, thus do keep at tip toe for profit taking if vested especially for short term investors.

 

Wonder the current surge in Singapore Genting has anything to do with Genting New York LLC is the FINALcontender for the bid to develop and operate a video lottery facility at New York City’s Aqueduct Racetrack ??? 

"The successful firm which gets the approval for the project will, among other things, develop a designated and dedicated area to house and operate a slot machine-style “racino” (a combination of racetrack and casino) with 4,500 video-lottery terminals, and food and retails outlets.

Meanwhile, real estate Crain’s New York.com website reported that a Lottery spokeswoman said Lottery would continue with the vetting process of Genting New York and still intended to announce its recommendation on Aug 3, unless it was ordered otherwise."

That's because it's price is not determined by market forces, but by a market maker.

 

I must admit my wrong analysis on Genting Sp.

Genting Sp is a special stock. It does not follow the fundamentals and technicals.

It's a stock that I've yet to understand and this makes me very interested in this counter.

I've decided to delegate a huge part of my energy to study this counter.

One day, I'll ride this scare beast.

Narrow escape for mother and 3 kids as car crashes on PIE

A mother who was driving her three children was lucky to have escaped serious injury after she lost control of her car, which collided into the side railing of the Pan-Island Expressway on Sunday afternoon. Her three-year-old son, who was seated at the front passenger seat, was not in a child restraint seat. The woman’s two daughters, aged 11 and 13, were seated in the rear seats. The police said the children were sent to the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and discharged after receiving outpatient treatment. The police want to remind motorists that children should be belted up when travelling in cars. This safety measure can prevent serious injury and save lives during an accident. Any driver who fails to belt up or ensure that the adult or child passenger is belted up could be fined $120 and given three demerit points. If charged in court, the person can be fined up to $1,000 or jailed up to three months. Repeat offenders can be fined up to $2,000 or jailed up to six months.

as always, we will let Market prove whether we are right or not....however, i would like to remind all that Genting is a trading stock (speculative) and not for long term investment or weak hearted uncle/aunties....if you buy below or near $1,  you will make good money...however, if you were to buy above $1.20, the risk is relatively high (high risk high gain though)...you will have to trade cautiously....good luck :)

Ya you are right. The BBs or machines can just withdraw out the buy orders and sell a few hundred lots to push the price down a few bids or vice versus.
