Even if one has the best degrees, in this world,

I heard the ICA and MOM have been faced with fake certificates from foreigners, and many issued passes and PRs have been revoked everynow and then when it is discovered that they cheated the govt to allow to work under fake certs and degrees. Also understand not all diplomas and degrees are accepted by the govt. So don't worry too much here..

This is happening with many foreign talents here too. Many are already caught and sent back by immigration office when discovered they fake certificates and diplomas.
Raffles case is plain cheating and someone must have been responsible for this. Hope the police gets to the culprits.

This is a short English translation of the article written by reporter Mr Quyen from Thanh Nien Newspaper, dated 26 October 2009:
"Student H.(17 years old) is 1 student want to study in raffles with 3 year, bachelor’s degree . but he not graduate high school yet because he only in grade 9. Not enough condition to learn . 1 staff in raffles with nickname C.M (40 year old) who is friend of his mom. C.M told H don’t worry . he could make registration form for student study in Singapore . When H came to singapore, he hasn't took English exam . But he already obtained IELTS grade from Mr C.M ! student H began confuse and doubt . He asked miss Foo Yen Yen (RAf sin) about registration forms, he got big surprise , he already has grades in high school and was told that, according to paperwork, he already graduated from high school ! After compare , he just know his grade in level 9 became 10 , 10 to 11 and 11 became 12 (you know in Vietnam , high school have 3 level: 10 ,11, 12. But he not study level 12 yet ). After knows that, he couldn’t stand study with fake forms. So he quit and tell with THANH NIEN newspaper.."

Geat help Alligator! Hope this works. The circulating letter posted below is written by the vice-president of vietnam REC. It is a letter explaining itself and to calm students on a recent vietnam newspaper that alerted vietnamese students that REC in vietnam is helping student forge documents so that they can move on to a degree even though they may not have the right qualifications. Even though REC handled this overall matter quite well, i tot the VP's english need some extra english classes! I am still searching for that vietnamese newspaper article on REC vietnam forging documents... :

DEGREES and DIPLOMAS which do NOT GUARANTEE employment are like GAMBLING at the CASINO....
The UNemployed GRADUATES LOST their PANTS and are in DEBT after graduation....

using Joseph cycle analysis, raffles education will be in a downtrend for the next few years after 7 years of growth (peaked at 2007).....however, Informatics will be in a uptrend for the next few years after 7 years of downturn and scandal....vested in Informatics now as downside is limited but upside is unlimited due to its improving fundamental and brand name...i will not be surprised even if Informatics become a dollar stock in few years time....good luck :) |
