The URL you mentioned is not a valid URL. That is why the image does not display.


To get the Image URL, you have to do a right-click on the image and select Properties (if you are using Internet Explorer). You can then copy the URL of the image.

Mani, yah, it's beef extract. There is the chicken bovril too. Yes, chicken bovril believe me. Don't get that. Bovril is supposed to be a descriptive word for beef. How come it is used with chicken, I don't know. I brought some bottles beef  bovril (genuine)  to my children in Canada this last trip. I would love to give you some bottles.

(1) Click on Insert/Modify Image button

(2)  Enter http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/98b22d1cb4.jpg into the Image URL field.

once upload your file ( must be less than 3MB), the image and many 'Url' appears. You should know which is the one for display on SJ forum, hahaha

here is just my trial on the website., it works.

i had saved the bmp file as jpeg file as 'forex01'

i had uploaded the file to mediafire

i do not see the pop up

after verification ... i land on the page with the heading "forex01.ink (873B) .. tabs 'info', 'email' , 'share by IM' , 'embed in website'

i click on 'embed in website' and copy url

in SJ post : i click on the mountain pic ,the second one to the right of the smiley , a pop up appears .. into the the url box , i paste the url ... click on the preview and see gibberish ...

now , where have i gone wrong .. pls correct me ..

Mani, sorry I did not check this thread earlier. Still with jetlag lah. You asked where to buy Bovril. Managed to get Bovril from NTUC in our area. My children grew up with that. If you really want them, I can get them for you.

I think  I  may see the problem you explained when using .bmp image file.. May be it wont work with bmp file.

So I convert the file to jpg file, and it works out well. 

I hope you are familiar to use standard software such as Irfanview or other software to convert file from bmp to jpg.

Using jpg file, by your mediafire website, once you download is complete, the mediafire does a verification process and at the end of this verification you see the  page shown exactly the same as shown in the following URL, 

what you do is to click this url, http://www.mediafire.com/upload_complete.php?id=ziryzny9mt5

or copy to your browser and see how it looks like, you can see the photo there, as long as you can find the image location ( URL) that is inside mediafire website, you can copy to SJ forum's Insert/Modify Image button.

so,  try using jpg file.  hope this helps
