Investors will feel better if  they believe our Mr Dee said, in one of the investment forum. He claimed that for long term investment, investors will only see yield say 5 yrs, 10yrs 15yrs, 20yrs 25yrs or even 30 down the line. But didn't specify what age group best fit in the durations.

Worse scenairo, if now u are now 40, 30 yrs down the line who are u then? Very sure Mr Dee will only see that if he is 115 then. Best scenario, if now u are 65yrs old, what next, 5 yrs later?

Need to ponder about whether money earned is for u to enjoy while u still can move around, or leave it to your children while u are in the wheel chair waiving to them in airport, saying bon voyage. Thats simple basic loh.

I said one more time, don't everytime, when a stock moves then, you ask why it move, why it move? especially today while the property stock rise from the rock bottom... everybody wonder why...

so, here it comes, SPH at the rock bottom, i have a strong call to BUY and ACCUMULATE NOW, RIGHT NOW ! don't wait until it goes up, and you cry why ,... why ... why....

remember, what goes down must go up... simple theory.. what I can tell you  now is SPH is at dirt cheap price now..

from 1999 until 2008 .... the peak is about $7.50 ++ happened in year 2000, the lowest is at end of 2001, $2.92 ... (this price is factored in the 5 in 1 shares splits)..

stochastic chart telling us, it is going up soon, in shorter term, but this time, since this baby is acting like a Time Deposit for my investment, there is only 1 way heading, going up, and the dividend will make you sleep soundly.

I would love to buy more if it drops to $3.04... let's see ~~

Sorry, AK didn't include its ppty of 19.6% investment in the earlier posting. In d long run, ppty will affect its overall earnings.

It may seem not that attracting px at around 3.12 with STI stayed above 1750, as it clocked 3.14 low when STI shed to 1472.77.

Nonetheless, for long term, no harm loh.

FY08 earnings lower despite higher turnover due to increased materials cost, staff costs n other operating expenses. Co expects satisfactory recurring earnings for FY09. Fr Investment Manual.

AK opines that now lower px in transportation n materails, esp recycle papers(dropped half since mths ago), may ease tension in materials cost. As for staff cost, may follow some current coys practices to tie over the bad period, to reduce operation cost.

Less advertisements n more people go on line to read papers instead of subscribing hard copy could be another areas which may affect the earnings, though not that substantial. Ha ha AK subscribes BT online with only $5 per mth, instead of ard 27 for hard copies loh. Can be much lower if sharing with others with common pass word.

Zaobao, cannot lah, as wife computer forbial.

Its 1H09 is end Feb 09. It gave 8 cts interim div in Feb 08 n 19 cts for FY in end Aug 08.

FY 08 earnings lower despite higher turnover due to increased material cost, staff costs n other operating expenses. Expects satisfactory  recuring earnings for FY09.
