I meant will elevate education standards of Singapore's education in academic and profit oriented organizations.  It will weed out bad standards and poorly managed firms.

I think it is a good move by sg.gov and will surely benefit serious market players.

New registration ruling by the Ministry of Education, requiring all education and tuition centres including those online, will alleviate education standards of Singapore's education in academic and profit oriented organizations.  It will weed out bad standards and poorly managed firms.

I think it is a good move by sg.gov and will surely benefit serious market players.

You never know. There is a risk involved in extensive M&A and failure to integrate them properly into the Raffles system. Raffles must first improve its financial performance first. While its 100% growth a year formula is dead, a respectable 15-20% growth in net profits will go a long way in allaying shareholder's fears. Plus its dividend yield is a respectable 5.25% now (assuming 2 cents a year).

Not vested but its quite sad to see my former holding dropping to March's price :(

Ah Chew has more to worry than REC share price. Besides cleaning the reputation of Oriental, his new campus in Australia is yet to be approved by the Aussie government and now already got scandalous forging documents on front page newspaper in Indochina operations. Informatics number 2 in the making ???  Smiley

There's nothing to be sad about...

If anything, if one is the type who is a holder, one should only be sad about the fact that one is a holder who does not respect the stock market for what it is...

I mean, holding forever is world of difference from investing... hehehe... Smiley

I think March was worst. Ah Chew rescued REC after it plunged to a low of 25.5 cents (it was dipping from 45-30cents in the previous weeks) in the aftermath of the Oriental Century scandal. Managed to let it rise up back to the 50 cent mark.

I think Ah Chew cannot save the day loh.   Since 25/8 MA crossover, it has never managed to make a crossing.  This is very bearish leh.....

Like today, there is no more bid after 37, it is a cliff if you can see it. And the sell bid extend all the way to 435.

Look more and more like informatics hor....

In March, this counter touched 25.5ct intraday.

But becareful, if CEO Ah Chew steps in to buy back shares, shortist will die terribly like 6 months ago.

The support at 38.5 cents for RafflesEdu  looks very fragile ,  its RSI is at 22 which is still weak . Breaking 38.5 cents n go down to 34 cents is quite convincing now .

Bintang      ( Date: 16-Dec-2009 20:48) Posted:

RafflesEdu touched the lower border line of the down trend channel  at 38.5 cents n rebounded to close at 39.5 cents today . The trend is still very weak while the RSI is at the over-sold territory at 25 . The price would go down further when RSI is rising .

Raffles, Cosco and Noble Group are some of SGX's largest baggers.

Raffles is a 40 bagger, Noble is a 80 bagger etc
