Genting Singapore (G13.SG) most active stock in Singapore, +1.3% at $1.60, as players remain fascinated with growth prospects following return to profitability in 2Q10, especially with gaming group one step closer to disposing its money-losing UK operations for $688.8 million, says Dow Jones.
Having already secured approval from shareholders, company now needs greenlight from British Gaming Commission. “The financial resources arising from the proposed divestment will provide it with the financial flexibility to maintain its strength and strategically engage in new opportunities or enter new markets where appropriate,” says OCBC Investment Research; has Buy call, ups target to $1.85 from $1.66 to factor in lower capex post-UK sale.
Resistance at 52-week high $1.68. |

Singapore stocks getting mild boost from Wall Street’s modest advance, with gainers outnumbering decliners 2 to 1, according to Dow Jones.
STI +0.2% at 2,931.52 at 9:43 a.m., likely to encounter resistance at last week’s 2,952 high. “Upside is likely to be capped due to bouts of profit taking in an uncertain market,” says CIMB, which has year-end target of 2,960 for STI; adds “we are cautious on the Singapore market amid continued jitters over the pace of global (economic) recovery.” Genting Singapore (G13.SG) remains highly sought after, +3.9% at $1.60, as gaming group now focusing on ramping up Resorts World Sentosa after sister firm Genting Malaysia’s (4715.KU) minority shareholders approve purchase of former’s money-losing UK operations.
Genting aside, most active stocks in market comprise lower liners, including Oceanus (579.SG), +1.5% at $0.35, Style Merchants (N37.SG), +25.0% at $0.05, Enzer (545.SG), +4.5% at $0.23. |
another boring day....
Just see they play the ping pong ball !!
If you don't know how to be arh on the balls, why don't you carry balls? Carry balls oh yes you did, but always carry the wrong BOSS's balls.
These days, women are also sensible people...
They play ball better than men do...
if not better...

Hi BT If it can get break 1.6 does it mean that can go in again? Any advice? Thanks.

Expected behaviour for STI and GentingSP today. Bullishness in morning and early afternoon. Possible profit taking before market closes depending on European markets and Dow futures.
Bullish Harami candlestick pattern formed last night. Look at opening (gap up, gap down, no gap) and first trade for further confirmations to direction today.
Good luck guys!

Genting Singapore

CIMB lifts target price to $1.88
from $1.38 after increasing
FY2010 to 2012 core earnings forecasts by 76 to 130 per cent to assume increased daily table win rates, higher table count.
Keeps Outperform call; “it appears that Singapore’s gaming market could be worth a whopping $5.5 billion”.

But who knows, maybe the BBs will come in later and push the price to 1.65 and so I will lose out big time. But who knows? We cannot tell the future. If there is money to be taken now, I would rather take it now than later. Bad news could come out, or Europe may go down, or Dow futures may crash.... Too many variables. I play safe and trade safe. This way, I will last longer in this game.
