America's GDP numbers will be out on Friday. Tonight's Dow Jones expected to be mostly flat while awaiting America GDP numbers on friday. If GDP on friday turn out worse than expected, market will turn down, which will have a pull on Asian markets come next Monday. Risk averse players should stay out of the market.

Buoyant European markets at this time have positive effect on Dow Jones futures currently. STI now flat, at almost the same level as yesterday's close. STI investors / traders expected to profit take before market closing given uncertainly of current global economy. Also September period tend to be a bearish month in global markets.

Looking at GentingSP, seller volume outnumber buyer volume by 2 to 1 from 1.57 to 1.62. Closing price expected to be between 1.59 to 1.61.  OCBC Investment Research; has Buy call, ups target to $1.85 from $1.66 to factor in lower capex post-UK sale. Overall outlook for GentingSP bullish in the mid to long term. Short-term upside limited to 1.68.

Singapore shares generally still directionless as investors wary of committing amid concerns global economic conditions could get worse, according to Dow Jones.

STI off 0.1% at 2,922.60, expected to close above 2,900, with resistance at last week’s 2,952 high. Decliners outnumbering gainers by slight margin in broad market, with overall volume still thin.

“Given the uncertainty about recovery in the US and possibly weaker demand out of Europe, we continue to favor sectors leveraged on Asian consumption, such as the integrated-resort thematic (plays) and domestic consumer services plays, over exporters and stocks leveraged on global trade,” says DBS Vickers.

Among such plays, Genting Singapore (G13.SG) flat at $1.58 vs $1.62 intraday high. Penny stocks, small caps remain most active in market, with Scintronix (T20.SG), flat at $0.095, Style Merchants (N37.SG), +25.0% at $0.05, Enzer (545.SG), +4.6% at $0.23.

I mention my trading logic before liao lor..... When the resistance broken I will consider long. When there is strong resistance, it is more likely a correction will follow. But if I am wrong, and the resistance is broken, I will go long and take the ride. This is the way to cut down as much risk as possible. At most lose a bit of commission for frequent buy and sell, but you will still be more profitable in the long run than if you were to take the risk of bashing through a resistance level head on and risking a strong correction.

Currently, sell volume outnumber buy volume by 2 to 1 from 1.57 to 1.62.  Not a super strong resistance, will consider again at 4pm for re-entry.

Expected behaviour for STI and GentingSP today. Bullishness in morning and early afternoon. Possible profit taking before market closes depending on European markets and Dow futures.

Bullish Harami candlestick pattern formed last night. Look at opening (gap up, gap down, no gap) and first trade for further confirmations to direction today.

 Good luck guys!
