Fairygal, thank for the correction. The news is also good so that genting can put more focus on its Singapore IR. CASINO Markets in ASIA is very big and PROVEN PROFITABLE business.

The things that make genting cheong maybe the taiwan mull the ban of casino ..... and I think Genting is keen in that market too. I think Singapore is pressure to speed up the IR to capture the market before Taiwan come into play. Yesterday overbought 282k and today overbought 19142k. If genting make a simple announcement that they are interest in taiwan market, its share will cheong above $1 within minutes and climb above $2, hope I am right. Goodluck for those who support genting. 

 

Always remember that a stock can move either way...

taiwan mull end to casino ban may excite singapore abit, sure genting will be push to speed up the project, if the news that genting is also interest in taiwan casino investment, it is a very good news to genting supporter.

By the way, Genting did NOT dispose of Stanley PLC.  The announcement is about the disposal by Stanley Plc ........pls refer to the SGX announcement .  It's a whole world of difference!

this is a GAMBLING stock until the 1st pillar or structure is physically in position in sentosa lah...all toks oni..u wont know wat hiccups will come up later......meantime where possible SHORT ! :D

 

now the bought volume is more than sold volume by 6 million at this time, this show investor are buying up and accumulate the share.

 

You think our government will let themselve lose face for this IR project since they support it all the way and even to the extend to convince the public of the project? Taiwan mull it casino license because of the lucrative market to attract tourism dollars, remember we also need tourism dollar too and to create job for our citizen. As genting is getting themselve focus and committed, it is a good news to investor else dbs will not upgrade it to $1.00.  

 

Actually wanted to accumulate this AM, but broker said it may goes below 0.80. So wait and see lor.

based on TA, the counter may run up (got 60% chance) within two weeks...if you are an investor for mid-term, can accumulate now at this clouded area price as it is TA/FA strong...not for contra and my two cents :)

Just wanted to clarify something: Is it true similarly, LV Sand has not gotten their license? and that it will not be issued till sometime later?

 

capital should not have problem, genting can anytime loop in investors or many other ways to get money easily.
License not a problem as genting show full committment in their effort to meet the license requirement. If the IR project failed, our government will lose face which I think they will not let it fail, maybe temasek may invest in genting who know?? 

 

I don't see this counter can up soon, since there is still an issue with the capital and licence for IR. 

It's better to wait for a moment.  Perhaps we need to wait until next april. 

 

I think this news may help genting, they sell their stake in stanley and delist from the exchange in euro market. Their focus is in singapore IR, genting may sell their asset in non gambling business to get some money for the IR project. If UK impose the tax band etc, the casino operator will put more emphasis in Asean market where the money are, some casino operator may wish to work with genting for the share in IR project in singapore who know.  

 

There was an announcement by the Genting MD that the UK Gaming Duty Band and Rules were revised and that may affect their profit. Not sure if this news will affect this counter. Think will wait further.
