OCBC is a good stock to buy. May be one day, singapore would be having two local banks only.

winsontkl,

Don't really track the banks stocks.......but offhand, I prefer OCBC for the following:
  1. Most conservative write off of CDOs.
  2. Smallest bank....highest chance it will be a takeover target (remote in the foreseeable future)

As for DBS, new CEO coming in..........what do you think is the first thing on his agenda......clean house to get rid of as much of his predeccessor's baggage/skeletons (though his hands may be abit tied....DBS is a TLC etc).

personnal opinion.

winsontkl,

I think there is an unwritten rule that investment companies do not publish reports of related companies.

Margins of all the banks will be squeezed with lower SIBOR ...expect them to drop further b4 buying..avoid in the meanwhile..temporary support by its dividends

Instead of focusing on doom n gloom.... take a really close look at UOB and OCBC. Do some TA. See what they are trying to tell the market.

Heheheheheheheehehehe.
