"Connect is offering US$10 a share for PacNet, 50 US cents more than the bid by MediaRing last year of US$9.50 apiece."

What does this trying to imply? if MR cannot offer higher than Connect, what will happen to MR's share? down significantly?

Please advice, i am really a new bird in share... i hold quite a number of MR's share.. -_-"

The sudden surge without any change in fundamentals or any fresh lead may signify a new "downtrend" the next trading day.  If it always signify a new uptrend, everyone will be making $$$ after an upsurge.  Then, who will be the losers?

A one-day splash of uncommonly high volume often marks the beginning of a NEW trend when it accompanies a breakout from a trading range. Exceedingly high volume, identifies market hysteria.

That is when bulls finally decide that uptrend is for real and rush in to buy.

However, do adopt business acumen. $$ management. The game is to tilt the win probability to your favour. There are no certainty on the rightmost side of the chart.

Pray that those who play with MR will not end up suffering from hypertension (literally have to watch or guess its movements during trading hours).  Life is precious - no point making the money, but without the health to enjoy it without depending on hypertension drugs. Trade with care for your own health, please, to live through  Lunar New Year and the years ahead.  No point dying for money's sake.!.

When Connect makes a general offer for Pacnet (at least USD10.00)..., MR will make money by accepting offer and liquidating all their Pacnet shares.

Alternatively, it can make a counter general offer as their 1 year moritorium from last offer in Feb 2006 is not far away.

Watch the play unfold.

Precisely that is what (ST) Singtel former Chairman KBH can do at best, but at current px and sell a stake to..... in other word it mean "Kuang Si" at worst sell a more convincing story, like Voip connect to many other countries. No bad feeling, hope not to offence those vested in this stock, wish them best of luck and blessing that BBs continues with this saga. Just my tot.

Price up on friday is not because of  PI case but a takeover. Just because the timing is so uncanny together with the Vantage/Connection PI news.

Game's not over, stay tuned! The big boys have more up in their sleeves

Report in Edge
There could be some action on Mediaring say dealers. The talk is Singapore Telecommunications is interested in either buying a stake in the company or taking it over. However, at market close last Friday, there had been no announcement or comment.

It would be interesting to see what happens if they close for 4 weeks. Then let Asian markets do their own thing, probably adopt another bourse like Nikkei as leader.
