Genting Singapore (G13.SG) last down 2.2% at $1.76 on profit taking after run-up to new 52-week high of $1.83 in early trade, says Dow Jones.
Pullback amid current gains by most other STI components not surprising given stock’s 43% rally since August 12, when gaming group announced return to profitability in 2Q10.
“We still like Genting Singapore, but the technical oscillators have become overbought,” says DBS Vickers, which has fundamental Buy call with $2.00 target; notes stock trading near consensus target price of $1.85.
Immediate support at 5-day moving average, last at $1.70.

The current sell-off is partly due to news that Genting is over-bought and too expensive at the moment. Just wait for the right opportunity to re-enter.

Singapore stocks lack momentum despite staying in positive territory as investors prefer to wait for more US economic data, especially Friday's jobs report, before committing, according to Dow Jones. “With no clear catalysts, the STI is likely to be dictated by external developments,” says UOB KayHian Singapore research head Andrew Chow; “our view (is) that the STI is likely to remain range-bound with a year-end target of 3150.” |

Strange, how come some of the forum people said they purchase at 1.83 where from my UOB account, can see zero purchase at 1.83.
Anybody can enlighten me, thanks!
