You hit the nail on the head.

When recommended by OSIM sales person on a Mermaid, one should also enquire if the price includes the person vaccumming the floor. :P

Alas... when people buy a piece of equipment, many a times it's because the are buying a dream... ie. they buy the result...

but when it comes to the hard part, which is the requirement to put in effort, they either give up or don't have the time...

The product cannot make it lah.  Quality is not there. Recent advert on the 50% off for accessories also doesnt entice me.

My mermaid still up for sale. Bought for SGD680 going for SGD250.  Okay lah SGD200 also can.  Just get it out of my house. :p

Yes OSIM products is like our household appliances such as TV, HiFi, washing machine, PC, etc that last for 3-5 years, and people may upgrade then when new product or new model is launched.

Got the point there EastonBay, they need to increase their franchise. However... I got a feeling that tommorow Osim may climb about 5%, don't know if it is temporary. Cheers.

But unlike hamburgers which you return to buy again and again, you will not return to buy another $6000 massage chair within at least 3-5 years, you will not return to buy another i-gallop, another whatever, exactly because the items Osim sells costs a few hundreds if not thousands. Unless they keep coming up with new products, the market gets saturated quickly. Not forgetting it has so many copycats which are vying for the same market.  The other way out for Osim is go to populus country like China...

Buying something that is worth at least $400 I believe is not like buying some hamburgers where people queue up. Because they are alittle more expensive than hamburgers ya. My mum have many Osim's product and their franchise is enormous, have GNC as well, so not too worried that they run out of business ya. Moreover brother Ron is holding some 283Million shares at $1.646, I guess he will take some actions ya.

HI,

Ya! Osim profit is generated mostly from overseas and be it the ST index is up or down is still remains the price range between 92cts to 95cts. Hope that there is a booster to push up the price.

regards,

I suppose that's because there's nothing interesting there...

and they are just waiting for customers to come and buy.

That's different from 'make them want to buy'.

I see a lot of Osim shops have more sales people than customers.
