Stochastic chart shows it's overbought. It's also rising on low volumes. Not a good sign.

From a FA point of view, Bw is undervalued. Will hold on until FV is reached before selling!

Hi Stockking,

From a TA point of view, I would not consider Best World because of its low volume and low price. TA doesn't really work on relatively cheap counters with low liquidity.

We can use Best World as example. Can the TA, FA and TA/FA gurus tell us what  is your entry price and selling price for Best World?

There is not right or wrong...TA or FA or TA/FA as far as the method work for you!!

My knowledge of TA is only at a "superficial" level. I feel a combination of both TA and FA would be good. Fundamentally good stock still get affected as the market is essentially still manipulated by man and having FA would help to "cement" your TA analysis is right

zhuge_liang, can you share your buy and sell criteria for stocks?

In an ideal world, one could use just TA or just FA. If you only use TA, there's the the chance that oversold stocks can be more oversold and overbought stocks can be more overbought. And it doesn't tell you whether a stock is good or lousy. If you just use FA, you will suffer significant corrections from time to time. In reality, a combination of TA and FA is best. This has served me well for the past 10 years.

Interesting... I'm a TA purist... which works well for me. Bullrun is a FA purist and zhuge_liang mixes both TA and FA.

Because our methods work for us individually, I guess the difference between the 3 of us is really the trading horizon and the psychology.

The Straits Times

INVESTMENT firm 2G Capital and Hyflux chief executive (CEO) Olivia Lum sold a total of 27 million shares in the water-treatment firm at $3.45 apiece on Tuesday.

In an ideal world, we can combine TA and FA. In practical, that is very difficult. I would just like to stick to FA which is had served me very well over the last 20 years!

Bullrun,

I'm a TA person who also use FA. I monitor the market and research the stocks on a daily basis. Unlike others who just use FA.

BullRun and Stockking,

Sure, I managed to work out the Maths, In 2002, Hyflux's price range (adjusted for bonus shares and dividends) was $0.403 - $0.688. SGX website no longer shows the disposals by 2G. In Mar '02, the highest price was $0.572. Today, it's worth $2.36. Do you have a recent article on 2G?

zhuge_liang, Spend more time to do your research before investing in stock market, if you couldn't even get the history right, you wouldn't be able to forecast the future!

zhuge_liang, article is dated and that is history. Do u know how much Hyflux was in 2002? Do you know at what price 2G disposed off some of their Huflux shares? and Do you know how much  Hyflux is today compared to Mar 2002?

That article on 2G was dated Mar 2002. That's history. Since then, prices have fallen. Especially Hyflux's. Of course, we then have the famous ACCS scandal.
