DJ MARKET TALK: DBS Lifts Mermaid Maritime Target To S$1.71 0253 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: DBS Vickers raises Mermaid Maritime (DU4.SG) target price to S$1.71 from S$1.17 to reflect increased earnings estimates, roll forward of valuation year; maintains Buy rating. Broker says recently announced rights issue to give offshore oil and gas engineering services company a war chest for acquisitions. Thinks company may look to pick up distressed assets such as offshore rigs in next 3-6 months. Raises FY11 net profit forecast by 14% to reflect expectation that rights issue proceeds will be used to buy new assets. Adds, on an ex-rights basis, new target price will adjust down to S$1.18 to reflect dilution. Shares +10.8% at S$1.23. (KIG)
