yummygd: the circular stated that it will pay out only after it successfully reorganises, which may take quite a while.
kiwi77sg: not possible to be spread across over 4Q as above, it will only pay out after it sucessfully reorganises.
as to how long the reorganisation will take, *shrug*
oh.. and there was a statement somewhere in the circular that also states that the predicted distribution money?.. they are all based on a forecast that the reorganisation will successfully complete by 31st dec 2009. As such, as the reorg drags, it may or it may not eat into the distribution money. Also, there's the exchange rate issue, rmb might be stronger in the future ;)
just my 2 cents, please correct if i'm wrong in my understanding of the circular

i think the correction term is capital distribution...or divestment..leh....dividents sound like profit distrbution..therefore alot ppl find it hard to belief...but infact it is not profit, but just sell away the company get the money and than give it back to the shareholder lah....so it is not a fat goose runing around but just paying you with your own money leh..hehehe....i invest because the risk are low....buy 8cts pay you back 8cts...hehehe...still got shares in your hand free....than they is the opportunity that some not listed but profitable company who want to buy over this empty company so they can issue more share to raise money for expansion,,they are many of this type company sgx. .hehehe that is the reason the chance of a reborn company and if buy over ( the company have to be profitable rite hence so the risk are low)..only thing is how long...time frame the risk lor.....my view only hor.

no lah... makes no sense for them to do so also. cos once declared, they want to wait for RTO liao. but i believe the XD date will be 1mth plus away... normal waiting period loh...

I didnt really read the GM cicular but is it possible dividents of $0.08 is spread out over 4Q ?
ya wait for CD to come... once its out, should have more actions again
so its passed but never say when it will be handling out the dividends??

For me, didn't buy b'cus it's too good to
be true.This is the 1st time I read about co.
paying higher dividend than the traded share px.
this is the best time to sell for those holding thes tocks after all after dividends u can expect this counter to crash like no one business. cause their company is not making money since 03(discount the sale ) so in basic it is not a money making company .buy at 0.075 still can protect ur principle but anything after its making a loss that is if u are lucky enough to sell after dividends. my thoughts.
there are chicken rice profit takers all over STi market ????

oh i am looking at it in a different view haha! cos i guess the stock will fall to 0.5cts after XD in the worst case scenerio haha! anyway huat ah for all!
eh.. they are getting less than distribution if approved... unless they bought the shares at 0.5 cts.
even if they do, which means they made a 8cts profit, equivalent to distrbution.... they still make less than distribution considering broker fees. ;)

those selling is to cash in already ah... cos now already 8.5cts... MORE than the distribution... anything wrong with those pple cashing out? not as if they getting less than the distribution wat...
