http://chunwai08.blogspot.com/2009/02/elizabeth-wong-drama-continues.html
Latest: Anwar wants her to reconsider. He has asked Elizabeth Wong to rethink her decision to quit. He wants her to go on leave first and the party will make a decision after that. Elizabeth Wong, the Selangor executive council member and Bukit Lanjan assembly woman, has quit both positions. She announced this at a press conference at PKR headquarters

Another rude awaking for Anwar and PKR...( for more info...pls click below)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/beritamalaysia/message/107536
The bad joss of State Executive Councilor, Elizabeth Wong, captured nude in self-described.........Friday 13th Feb, while former Menteri Besar, Nizar, was filing a suit inKuala Lumpur to challenge the legality of his removal from office, journalists from the Malay Mail prepared to call Elizabeth Wong to inform her of the photographs/video.........She is politically a featherweight, more useful to society as a spokesperson of a
leading NGO. People from the two parties are blaming the Pas for the removal of the rot in the pact, bothering little about the fact the PKR is supposed to be led by a husband-wife team that had cast a long shadow on the Islamic landscape in Malaysia. that is a thumbs-down primarily for the PKR and the DAP.
Many were selected without due diligence to hold public offices. A lesson in the corruption of power that has, in this case, led to the fall
of the Pakatan Rakyat government in Perak.
What, therefore, are the true colors of Anwar Ibrahim and Dr. Wan Azizah, people ask?

Speaking about d devil of who Vs who...a tit of tat on how low politic can go....
If i will to be Najib...I will declare not to lead Perak by-election. it will be lead by..by-election mahh.!!!..so it will be newly installed Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir Vs Anwar of PKR lead + Nizar PAS and it will not be Najib Vs Anwar stories after that...as i will be kept very, very extremely busy week B4 and after my......Be'cos i wanted it to be a local affairs...but Anwar will not let go just like that..after all those sour notes of having lost control of govening state of Perak.
Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir will have a free hand to choose his personnal chioce of nominating for this in-coming by-election, to lead the poor, the young charges and to unite it people's.
Anwar is not fighting for politcal survival, but PM-ship in as short as possible time and ASAP...he can very likely win these two more and put it into his bag as it will not make a dent on BN...U lost four...U win four, making it 4 - 4 = 0...mean while PM in waiting may 1 2 to another strong deputy PM to home it on root problems by weeding out with carrot and stick solution, looking more to strengthening glassroot to malay heart land...it is an up hill task...so is for Anwar as well...No quick solution to win back...esp those younger voters.
Pls note: Anwar was once Deputy PM of Malaysia and have hope to be PM one day (ASAP) teeth thot so

Election Commission said the votes, one in Perak state for a seat in the national parliament and the other for the state assembly in Kedah, would be held on April 7.
"It will be an opportunity for the people to make a judgement. It will definitely be a referendum on Najib's leadership as he was the architect in the illegal power grab," Lim Kit Siang, parliamentary leader of the DAP urged voters to send a message to Najib that such a power grab "is completely unacceptable." told AFP. while DAP chairman has a different idea all together...
Najib, (of different kind) the finance minister, is expected to become prime minister after March 2009. after annual gathering of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), which leads the Barisan Nasional.

I refer to the Malaysiakini report Perak gov't collapses - BN claims power. http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/97742 |
A hypothetical situation is if a state representative intends to do something for the betterment/ good of his/her constituency but which goes against the party's bigger picture or wishes, he/she can be threatened with this letter to toe to the party line.
Many are angry and disgusted that BN has apparently cheated its way to form the new state government in Perak but how can we fault BN when since last year till now PR has been trying to get BN reps to cross over? If PR had managed to get BN MPs to cross over to form the new federal government, would people be calling it undemocratic and shameful as they are deeming crossovers now?
PR and their supporters are crying foul over losing the very game they initiated and they expect our sympathy and support ?

The sickening political scenario of Malaysia |
Amir Husni | Feb 6, 09 4:57pm |
The unfolding political scenario in Perak has exposed how low the moral values of our politicians can get. They are supposed to lead the country by example. How can we, as the rakyat, have faith and trust in these unscrupulous, tainted and corrupted leaders to better our future generations? teeth tot: who is it refer to..politic is always as dirty as it remain to been seen... Anwar Ibrahim wanted to upstage the federal government on Sept 16, 2008 through ‘party hopping’ but failed. This itself is morally wrong for the members of Parliament (MPs) are elected by the rakyat and power is not in their hands but in the rakyat’s. teeth tot..that right...... They were elected to serve and uphold the elected party’s principles and constitution. Anwar should have fought for a dissolution of parliament and get the rakyat to decide. If he couldn’t then just wait for the 13th general election. DSAI should have learned from history that it took 15 years for Ayatollah Ruhullah Khomeini to lead the Iranian Muslim Revolution to power while Nelson Mandela needed over 20 years to eventually become the president of South Africa. teeth tot: Anwar cannot wait for 15- 20 years A strong regime and the continuity of its existence can’t be built on a weak foundation. The coalition of PKR, PAS and DAP is still in its infancy stage, and the Almighty has given them five states for them to put their philosophy right before they can form the next federal government on a firm footing. teeth tot; PKR is sandwhich between PAS, a fundamatalist who is ready to chop hand and perform public forgging if...while DAP is more pro-modernlist. Both do not see eye to eye....for next genaration, don't even say for next 20 years. How to work together...?. |
It is definitely a big slap on Anwar face or ram to the wall.
I) Money politic is very deeply rooted in Malaysia. Heard some report BN spend RM 50M to buy over the 4. WOW each get RM 12.5M.
II) If RM 50M is true, where did the money come from ?
III) As a buyer, can I say if I spend 50M. Can I expect 100M or more return ? Where to get the money ?
Anwar really reaps what he sowed. PKR cannot cry foul.
I think more issue to come....big or small.
The silent majority voters is now all seen forgotten after ruling for 11 months by PAS..PKR smallest parties in state of Perak...teeth thot so...
The last time it was PAS who rule with help from PKR and DAP with a slim majority. this time there is three independent members who shown themself indicating....their prefer choice. The last time UMMO lost and has pass the baton to the smallest parties in PKR alliance and rule for 11 months, this time round it seem very un-willly 1 2 pass back the baton and all claim break loose. it is seen that the other half that vote for UMMO has been forgotten, 50% or more...those silent majoity voters as not express themself (that Y it's called silent majority)...all hell break loose for PKR and kakis. It is 50% 50% chances...whoever took their chances well...rule.

Despite warnings of tough action, police presence is minimal apart from the traffic cops helping to ease congestion. The MB's residence has been sealed off by the PAS security team, Unit Amal. With the state government headquarters taken over by police this afternoon, there is fear that Mohd Nizar could be evicted from his official residence.

Breaking news.This time round....Perak gov't collapses - BN claims power...?. http://malaysiakini.com/news/97547
http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20090204/tap-malaysia-politics-0193655.html
Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak said the government of northern Perak state which was voted in last March had collapsed with the defection of four legislators. One was to join the Barisan Nasional coalition and the others would be independent. The loss deals a blow to the Pakatan Rakyat opposition alliance's ambitions of unseating the coalition government after it scooped its best results in history in elections last year. As several of its legislators prepared to defect, the alliance attempted to dissolve the state parliament and trigger fresh elections that pundits said it had a good chance of winning.
Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim said earlier. "The BN are trying to form the state government by hook or by crook

Syed Hamid: Death sentence unless all members start clean-up work
Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said that such a move was timely, as the party's image had been tarnished by the recent arrests of party members over allegations of corruption by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
"Everyone, including the president and supreme council members must take responsibility so our party is not given the death sentence," he said, adding that changes were needed to inspire the people' confidence in the party.
Syed Hamid, a party supreme council member, said such changes should also include making the party more people-friendly. "The matter must be discussed at the party's top level.
