In our institutional research report dated 16 Jul 13, we maintained our HOLD recommendation for SPH with an unchanged target price of S$4.25 which is set at a 10% discount to our SOTP valuation of S$4.73/share.
We raise our FY13-15 core net profit forecasts marginally by 4% as 3QFY13 core net profit of S$100.5m was above our forecast of S$90m. 3QFY13 saw a large fair-value gain of S$111.4m, offset by an impairment of S$26.2m. Advertising revenue recovered to a smaller contraction of 5.1% in 3QFY13 vs a 9.3% contraction in 2QFY13
Suggested entry price at $ 4.00 or below.
They hold 70% of the REIT and is the REIT manager as well meaning entitled to REIT income and management fees. Also lower debt adds to bottomline. Hence I'm curious how their sustainable annual dividend will now be post REIT.

If so, the price may not come back.
Of course it will go down at times but it will come back up again from time to time. Ya?

Is there a consensus view on expected annual dividend now they spin off SPH REIT while maintaining 70% stake in it and acting as REIT Manager. What's the bottom line on annual yield balanced by the significant improvement in debt?

SPH is one of the companies with good and regular dividends!

Price drop during xd is within expectation, i not too worry.
My strategy for this one is to try collect low then hold and collect as much dividends and sell before if I can see the next big market correction.
