Shares rose as after UOBKH initiated coverage on the stock with a "buy" call, citing chances of strong earnings growth this year. UOBKH estimates that Memory Devices, which makes computer memory cards and flash memory sticks, will post net profit of US$13.2m for the 2006 financial year - up 28% from the previous year.







"Memory Devices will benefit from increased demand for DRAM modules," UOBKH analyst Jonathan Koh said in a client note.

Westcomb has a price target of 46.5 cts.
